PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

Apparently the top of the Pro just clips off allowing access to the cooling fan for cleaning (modding?), that's rather nifty.

I cannot believe it has taken them all this time to use a copper plate and 3 heatpipes versus aluminium and one heatpipe on the 1200.

Got my Pro this afternoon via trade-in at GAME. Little disappointed to get home and find the box's seal had been broken and all the internal compartments had clearly been opened previously.

Still - seems OK. Loading Battlefield 1 now :)

As well as my launch PS4, controller, power cable and HDMI lead I also handed over Killzone, Alien Insurrection, Rainbow 6, COD Ghost and Angry Birds. None of which I play. Ever.

So I'm fairly happy.

Seems a little noisy at the moment while downloading the BF1 update. Was asking the store's staff what they thought about noise etc. Said they'd had it happen to them but it 'settles down'. Happy to go with that.

Must say the staff were marvellous. Was a painless experience. Thumbs up to GAME.

Thumbs up to game for selling you a used console as new ?

I definitely did not have a painless experience doing the Game trade-in..

My cousin had already done the trade-in on Saturday so I was reasonably confident of what was involved. Nevertheless, I used the Live Chat on the Game website just to double check everything. All appeared to check out so I reset my console, packed it all away, and carried it off to Game.

My first visit ended with them telling me I needed photo ID and proof of address, neither of which was asked of my cousin or mentioned by the Live Chat assistant.

My second visit (1.5 hour round trip) ended with being told that they were no longer doing trade-ins for the day.

My third visit (different store, different day) ultimately ended with me completing the trade-in but the proof of address was a complete joke! They wouldn't accept me showing them a bill on my phone so I had to run around trying to find somewhere to print it off. Once I finally got it printed off, they took a note of the account number in the top corner and then handed the printout back to me!! Absolute joke!!

Anyway, trade-in eventually went through ok, and I took advantage of the £20 Dishonored 2 deal too, but I'll be making a point to avoid Game in future.

Checked the console thoroughly for fingerprints or any sign it had been directly handled and couldn't find any.

Of course, that's not to say it's one of the 'noisy' ones which has been returned and they've offloaded it onto me.. hmmm. :o

No - I'll stay positive...

I agree with this - I wasn't warned but I always carry ID so no issue. Driving license includes address.

On arrival the manager said he thought the offer had ended. I told him it ended today. Needless to say the swap went ahead.

I don't know why they expect proof of address - but an image on a phone wouldn't hold water with anyone requesting, regardless of the reason as to why they're asking. So bad luck there.

I'll see how my potentially used Pro goes in the coming weeks. I found the staff to be super friendly though. Not so much the manager.

Take it back bud, I wouldn't risk it. Must be a reason it's open. Who knows why it was returned.

I was hoping this wasn't true. Darn it! Hopefully it's a quick easy fix

If you look at Neogaf and few other places, it has the original developers tweet.

I honestly think they've just bodged the AA. The softer styling doesn't go well with the Pro enhancements.

Like when I use to bother with PC gaming, I could get the same results in fraps and it wouldn't feel as smooth between driver sets.
