PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

Hi guys

So its my birthday. Ive had a few quid anf its black friday. Im currently still rocking a ps3 still have games ive not finished but it can be moved upstairs. There are loads of ps4 slim deals about around the 200 quid are which is great but is the ps4 pro a better option.

I dont have a 4k tv but who know what will happen in the next 2/3 years. Will I regret not spending the extra money now or should I get the slim while its cheap and then if I change to a 4k tv look at upgrading then assuming y then there isnt a ps5 round the corner?

You won't really see much difference at the moment (unless you have a SUHD TV) but when the scorpio comes along aswell then I expect there'll be quite a difference in the normal ps4-pro and xbone-scorpio games. When it kinda becomes the norm for devs to have 2 versions of everything.

I have the pro at the moment on a 1080p screen and don't see much difference but will be getting a new SUHD TV soon so can't wait for that (and PSVR).

20% off PlayStation console/bundles when you pay via Very home catalogue.

Choose the Bay now pay later 12m month, you get credited the 20% back after a month then just pay the rest off either straight away or before the 12m period to avoid any charges.

PS4 Pro for £280 :D

Just saw that, great deal - didn't think I needed a Pro, having 2 PS4s in the house already.......will soon have 3!

I don't know. Whereas Phil Spencer is trying to shift the Xbox to a platform which will play all past, present and future games like the iPhone/iPad, Mark Cerny says it's good to have console generations and hasn't ruled out architecture changes in the future.

Can't see them shifting from x86 now, the gen has been far to profitable compared. They will always be a step or two back from the bleeding edge of technology as well now I reckon.

I am very tempted at that Pro offer on Very.......seems a no brainer, even if you leave it right until the last minute to pay off the amount.

It is a really great price - I really wasn't in any hurry for a Pro, but colleague at work has been looking for a decent deal all over the Black Friday et al. weekend.......tbh, for £280 and with realistic £110-£130 back on the existing one (if I sell it), was too hard to resist

Much is perhaps a bit much but improved a little yeah. What TV are you using with the pro? Looking forward to getting a new TV to really unleash this little beast

I use this link i have VR and if you run your HDMI cables through this you don't get HDR, so HDR isn't worth that messing until they fix this. I will get an OLED at some stage, in no hurry, this TV is majestic it might as well have HDR.
