PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

For you guys and gals with the Pro have you noticed any faster download speeds?

I personally have experienced "faster" more "consistent" wifi download speeds, yes.

Also, I get less wifi drops too. Edit. I haven't had a drop yet.

Edit 2. Bit gutted about the patch for the division. Was hoping for some graphical upgrade. Never mind. Literally got mobbed in the dark zone and switched it off.

Had a quick comparison last night of the Division on my Pro vs the normal PS4 and TBH barring the shadows (character shadows are much improved - not that you see it normally anyway...) I couldn't really see any difference.

Window reflections still look terrible (puddle reflections look ok depending on the lighting) and I couldn't tell any difference with the UI itself (maybe noticeable if I got up close to the TV perhaps - why on earth would I do that?!).

Overall a bit "meh" but honestly I never had an issue with the games visuals anyway (reflections aside).

Don't get me wrong, the division looks fine as it is. I was just expecting some sort of noticeable tweak.

Ah well, I'm not expecting much out of the PS4PRO anyway. The next proper "leap" or should I say "hop" will be the ps5. I don't even think they'll hit 60fps with that either.

Oh agree in regards to the Division. I can only assume that Massive simply don't have the resource to properly overhaul the game for the PS4. Given their track record I wouldn't put it past them to mess something up.

Sadly the developers ultimately are the ones making the decision what to target with their current games. Given the underlying performance 1080p/60 should be more than do-able (TF2 for example runs at 1440p/60 on the Pro), but the current focus seems to be on "shiny" rather than a FPS / shiny blend.

Shame I'll still give division a look on pro I last played it before its big overhaul in early patch. Abit like overwatch pro patch by sounds of it

It gave me an excuse to return and my god it's changed! It's not a big bump, but still a nice little increase. Was hoping for more sure, but there is still more DLC to come and you never know, they may increase the resolution further and enable supersampling...

Now if Ubisoft could do the same for R6: Siege :D

EDIT: Also discovered Trackmania Turbo got a pro update. 4k (via checkerboard I think, well whatever it is, it was confirmed on the forums it's not native 4k) with supersampling for us 1080p users and better textures. How a pro update should be done!

Can someone recommend a 4k, 42" TV please? Something that is well renowned by Pro users if possible.

I've just purchased the Sony 43XD8088, goes well with my Pro. My only complaint is that Android TV isn't very customisable and the OS feels a little slow on occasion.

Also some good info on AVForums if you want to get some feedback.
