PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

I don't understand it. Leaving my order in place not in much of a rush but thinking of emailing them to ask what the heck is going on.

Is there anyway i can use a splitter to have my PS4 Pro to my new 4k TV and my 1440p monitor? I would have thought it would have been easy to find out but from what i've seen it needs to output to two of the same displays or it outputs at the lowest resolution which in my case would be 1080p.

I don't need them both on at once but i want it connected to my monitor when streaming and playing multiplayer at 1080p but to my TV at 4k when playing offline or single player games without having to constantly change HDMI leads.

Would also like to know this, also i have a 2tb hdd in my regular ps4, can it be straight swapped into the ps4 pro?

I'm stuck in the same situation! I have £150 of Amazon vouchers to burn so I can't buy it from elsewhere

I did email them in the end and their response was classic :

"Thank you for your email.

I am sorry to know about delay to dispatch process of your order number xxx

I've checked the website and found that unfortunately, at the moment, "Sony PlayStation 4 Pro 1TB" is unavailable from our suppliers, this is the reason it has not yet dispatched.

I hope you will understand that being online retailer we depend on the supplier for next stock. Please rest assured we’re trying our best to obtain more stock to fulfill your order."

Bwhahahahaha. He checked the website for me! Why didn't I think of that! Ah of course, being a retailer they depend on the supplier...if only I had known:rolleyes:

So yeah. They still have no stock and they have no idea when they are getting any.:o

You can buy a 65" Samsung KS8000 for that sort of money

Or tone down to 55KS7000 leaving enough from the budget to buy a PSVR and a PS4Pro also....hahahahahah

PC gaming is becoming a very expensive hobby atm and especially monitor prices atm are legal robberies. Especially given then quality control and support!!!!!

You buy a £450 TV (eg 40KU6400) and has many years more warranty than a £1000 monitor. While the latter you expect to return 2-3 of them (X34 anyone?) until you get a good one!!!!!

I bought the ks7500 curved 43" Samsung just before xmas. With a pro. I was gobsmacked at how good this thing was/is. Looks incredible hooked up to the pro playing games like uncharted 4 and rise of the tomb raider.

Anyhoo. I'm thinking of picking up either xcom2 or dishonoured 2 this weekend. Any preference in which would be more enjoyable ? :) both about the same price on the store.

Having played XCOM 2 on PC, is OK. You will have few dozens of hours there, against the clock constantly.

And if you are looking for squad turned based strategy with RPG elements, look also at Mordheim City of the Damned. Is surprisingly very underrated game.

Still haven't managed to find out. Just conflicting reports saying it will and it won't.

You can swap it in, but it'll need to reformat as they are tied to the Playstations so it'll need to format and link itself to the new one. If you do a backup and restore you won't lose anything at all.

Good news about Fall out 4. I ended up buying the DLCs/season pass but never got round to playing them so will wait until the patch is live and then give them a go.

What's everyone's views on the pro now its been out for a wee bit?(cant remember if I've already asked this or not). Is this the playstation to get or would you stick with the normal one(assuming I've got a 4k tv). It sort of seems patches are few and far between and when their is a patch it isn't making much difference? Or is that the point? Not much difference in terms of graphics but a higher resolution?

If you haven't got a ps4 yet and are willing to spend a little extra I would go for the pro.

The 1tb hdd alone was worth it for me to upgrade.

New games coming out will have support out of the box and there are patches coming for a select few older games. It may take some time and not every older game will get one but to me theres nothing that I would rebuy just because of the patched ps4 pro features

Going to put a different spin on this.

Currently 1TB slim models can be had for as low as £220. The Pro isn't worth the extra £100+ IMO and the list of supported titles is very small.
