I've decided to cancel my preorder too, I know I just won't really play it after the novelty of the first weekend.

If it was £50 I might still get it but £90 is too much considering I'm not interested in most of the games.

Only DD and R4 really appeal, RE would be cool to fire up but the GameCube remake looks a million times better and I have that on PS4 so I know I wouldn't stick past the first hour.

Even it doesn't sell well and I can pick it up on the cheap I might bite but for now I'm out.

C- Sony, try harder next time.
 
I was only ever interested in 2D boxes like the NES and SNES mini and the C64, but emulating 3D consoles from the N64/PS onwards will always be better on a PC as you can play the same games at a higher res with higher FPS.
 
I ended up cancelling my pre order, which was based purely on Nostalgia. I bought the mini NES and SNES which got sold quickly as well, my X1X is getting all my gaming attention.
 
Received mine today

Not opened it but it looks and feels pretty special from the box. My first modern console was a ps1, I was young and my dad and step mumwho didn’t have much bought me it. Fond memory’s from around 12.

Got one today, the other is sat at the post office as the postie evidently couldn't be bothered to bring it with him. I was about 6ft away from the door when he stuffed the card through.

Not had a chance to spend any time with it yet though. Not even opened.
 
Gave my mate his birthday present. He was slightly excited. Pretty much shredded the box to get it out (almost full AvE style).

It's not great. Console itself feels really cheaply built. There's some frame rate issues (not just the 50/60hz thing) and some of the emulation looks off with geometry not lining up.
Game selection is still odd... It's missing important games, but if they're going to for early games *hence no dualshock* then why Tekken 3?
Controllers however are very good. I still can't use them for long as they give me cramp, but that's exactly what the PS1 controllers did at the time for me too. So yeah, they're accurate.

I did find this interesting though. Looks like they tested a load of other games, and with many of those it would have been one hell of a thing.

£49.95 at Shopto .Some member in the MM tried scalping and stuck with 3 he's trying to sell for £90.

If I can ever get one for £25 I'll bite but no more than that .
