I upgraded from essentials to premium to try it out, not worth it personally, my sub doesn't end until 30th Nov so I can't take advantage of the essentials or extra discounts as they expire on the 28th.

Is annoying you can't downgrade to another tier.

Where Sony would have had me as a paying essentials customer as a minimum, and likely an extra customer, I'm going to lapse and not have any service with them.

It’ll add on to your existing subscription so 12 after your existing ends.
 
I ended up getting a couple of PSN gift cards on a promo so I decided to buy a year of Essential and upgrade to Extra, also got Legacy of Thieves PS5 which worked out really cheap because of what I saved on gift cards. Looking forward to playing Stray on the weekend.

I guess I'll sell some of my physical copies now because I reckon Sony 1st parties won't be leaving the service.

Is Uncharted not on extra?

I recently subbed as well, not checked out much apart from Stray which is a very nice game.

If uncharted isn't on service how much did you pay, fancy replaying them again on PS5.

It is but not the upgraded PS5 version which has better visuals and 60fps performance and performance + modes. You can also use 40fps vrr at 4k on a 120hz vrr display.

You can normally pay for the ps5 upgrade but I'm not sure if PS+ versions are eligible.

Legacy of Thieves PS5 is 60% off now, which worked out really cheap for me with the extra savings on gift cards but I'm outside UK so not sure how much it is on the UK store.

I haven't played Lost Legacy and figured it's worth a punt now, the collection runs well enough on PS5 and is much cheaper than on PC so I didn't bother buying it on Steam.

Anyways, I'll lose some money either way as I have to sell a sealed copy of FFVII Intergrade I didn't even get to play:P

I can see that uncharted drake collection 1-3 is on premium.

Drake 1 is showing its age now but 2 and 3 are still great. I played through them all last year on the PS5 before the Legacy Collection released. The 1-3 collection is well worth a play before 4 and lost legacy because there is some story continuity in there.

U4 PS4 version is on Essential (part of the PS+ Collection) and Lost Legacy PS4 is on Extra, those will only run at 30fps on PS5 without the upgrade.

A bit of a **** move from Sony but I hope they'll add some more worthwhile games to Extra this year. There's already a solid selection of great PS5 games like Returnal, DeS, GoT, Miles Morales etc. but Legacy of Thieves should've been there IMO.
 
I heard Biomutant was a mess when it launched, but it always looked good. Did it get any significant updates, or basically just remained the same?
Will check it out (if I can ever finish Dragon Quest XI S).
 
Judgment on Extra, yay. Have wanted to play it for a while. Would've preferred to have the JP version but no point paying a lot for importing when it's free so I'll just play with EN subs.
