At least on the PS4 they have got hardware zlib decoding on the fly so the games will just download and install in the background without using any system resources for games.

Any of these people that havent been able to redeem their free PS+ trial a regular PSN user? I wouldnt be surprised if Sony disregarded the trial given when it was hack dependent if you are regular PSN user or not - its what I would do

Didn't they give 1 month PS+ free after the PSN hacking? So if you used that you've used up your one and only trial.

Like I said though, I used a 30-day trial on my account last year despite having used the free one they gave out after the PSN downtime.

have a code thats just been emailed to me for a 30 day trial just tried to redeem it but because am on a trial already it want let me, so any one thats wanting to give psn a try its yours just send us a trust

Well even though there will be less CPU resources targetted at downloading and installing, if they use the same over-engineered file system its going to slow down that process just like it does now...

Oh I see. A bit like how it takes three hundred years to copy a multitude of small files but a few minutes for one big one.

oohh good point, surely that means no installing and its more along the lines of a Mac app

Jeez i signed up to a 30 Day Trial about a week ago and my 320Gb drive is nearly gone lol first thing i do on the PS4 is stick a bigger drive in coz i could fill up 500Gb with free games on the PS3 in a couple of months, though to be fair i already owned U3 on disc but i wanted it on the drive so i might delete it

Quick question...

Just bought a PS3 and i got 90 days PS Plus. I'm not sure how the PS Plus works. Say for example, Uncharted 3 is a part of this months free games, if i dont download it before Julys games, do i lose the ability to download it for free in the future?

If you don't download it while it's available, you cannot download it for free afterwards.

You don't have to download it, just add the stuff to your basket and checkout. If it starts downloading, cancel it.

And it has a second SOC to deal with this and remote play/streaming etc

I don't understand why games don't get added automatically if you sub to PSN.
