Had to do a complete re download of uncharted 3 last night to get to install properly

Near 40gb ... Twice ... What a joke

Couldn't be performed in background either !!

Think yourself lucky. Before they fixed it to 1 file, I downloaded and "installed" uncharted 4 times without success. I then realised I was only downloading part of it

I dowloaded it in pieces, but I thought it had been changed to 1 file now. Sure I read that in this thread?

When did they fix it? I downloaded it on wednesday and had to download Singleplayer, Multiplayer and 2d movies

I read somewhere they were going to make it one file, as people could not find the missing parts on the store.

I have obviously mis-understood.

I've borrow my bro's PS3 and i'm tempted to buy 90 days of PS+ just to play some of the free games.

Wow people weren't fibbing about how slow it is to download and install PS stuff! Looking forward to playing through Ico and shadow of the Colossus though. I started the Cave earlier which i was going to buy on Xbox and got stuck shamefully early.

July edition of official playstation magazine has free 30 day sub to ps+ can redeem it anytime up to December.

Only problem for me is I have 40 gig per month limit by ISP (BT) Havent decided when to use it yet.

Some people said their code didn't work but mine did. Also got one through for liking the Sony page on Facebook.

I couldn't use a code I got in the new GoW so phoned Sony and they said it's 1 free trial per account which in my case I redeemed after the hacking scandal thingy in 2011.

Might be why it doesn't work?

is that 1 free trial altogether or can you use them one after the other when they run out ???

The trial you got after the downtime in 2011 doesn't count, I've used a trial since then.

it seems it does

I've never used a PS Plus trial, only thing I've really ever redeemed was the free game after downtime

yet the Eurogamer trial code I got - didn't work, nor did another I tried

nor did the one I got from Sony in an email a week or so back

only thing I can think of - its the "freebie" I got after the downtime

not sure - can't think of anything else though

I've now subbed for 3 months and impressed so far

apart from the stupidly long install times - if I want to download something there is a HIGH chance I want it installed as well please ...
