Playstation Plus

I don't understand why games don't get added automatically if you sub to PSN.
To make you use the store and no doubt see what else is on offer - Im always looking what sales are on every couple of weeks if Im getting my PS+ stuff...

Nope, as they are nothing alike. I am paying for a service with the PS+.
Yet they have the same effect, getting you into the store to entice you with other more profitable products. It makes no sense for Sony to automate it when it seems more than reasonable that theyd have that expectation...

Where is the cheapest place to get PS+?

cheapest i have found is £34.90 from cdkeys and £9.99 for the 90 days but there out of stock at the moment, if someone has some place else cheaper and in stock ......... spill the beans

2nd'd.

Got a free trial code but surprise surprise that doesn't work.

On the lookout for an annual pass, but £40 seems a bit steep.

Well I've got 29 days left to find the cheapest place for ps+. I was just looking at what you get and it's really makes a joke out of XBL gold.

But you've got Fable III and you'll be getting Assassin's Creed II and Halo 3. What more do you want? :o

(This post is not serious.)

But I just go here, add whatever is free to my basket and don't look at anything else: https://store.sonyentertainmentnetw...collection/cid=STORE-MSF75508-PLUSINSTANTGAME

I imagine anyone with a brain is doing the same?

Edit: In fact I think I can script this to do it all for me every week...

Nope, I imagine most people just go and pick the stuff they want from the store on the console each week/whenever it's updated. Hardly anyone seems to know about the website.

Plus it wouldn't surprise me if they pay developers/publishers for the PS+ games based on how many subscribers 'purchase' their game. It's probably useful information for them to see which games are popular too.

As a new user of PS+ I can agree that it's a bit of a pain to have to actually "buy" games to make sure you keep them for later use, but I guess some hurdles are always to be expected. And there is, after all, a reason why my PS3 hasn't seen much action... it's by no means perfect as a system and service.

Still, as I own almost no games for the platform, PS+ is now a great opportunity to catch up on this side of the fence, even though I'm very much a PC based gamer.

Oh, and I'm also a bit puzzled by the background downloads. I appear to have downloaded Uncharted3 at least twice so far. Once myself, knowingly, and once 'automagically' in the background. I can see I have a bit to learn about the way this stuff works. :)

Nope - I log in and download whatever comes out, bin it if i dont like it. Dont really see whats stupid about looking at the regular store when Im on, I have bought the odd thing since having Ps+ because of reasonable offers (like Ni No Kuni).

I imagine it would work like that, much like the divx licencing on the consoles.

This has probably been answered previously, so apologies, but I've just downloaded Uncharted 3 and Amalur : Reckoning which are both due to expire in a few weeks. Once they expire will I lose the ability to play them from my console, or are they available forever now i have them?
