You can't go wrong with Motorstorm in terms of price compared to the hours you will probably play it. If you like Tetris style games, Lumines is the same, but it costs a lot more so you have to be a fan to get your money's worth out of it. Both are great if you like to compare scores with people etc.

Tried the Motorstorm Demo. Just found the controls really awkward and instantly deleted it. But gonna try that again then :p

Lumines demo was cool but also way short. I guess it's better trying out Motorstorm than Lumines because of the price difference :)

not sure if this is a vita specific problem, but....
anyone tried topping up the 3G account with vodaphone recently ?
I've tried periodically over the last 5 hrs and just get the same error message 'problem with our online service' each time i try

bit pants as I've had the vita for a week now but only just got the notion to get wipeout

Maybe try it tomorrow mate I had the same problem weeks ago left it for a day and tried again its very broken.

Tempted by the Vita, but I would need a decent online FPS to get me interested. I think Resistance is the first, out in may. Plus it would be nice for the system to closer to £150.

You can change all the controls in Motorstorm. I have throttle on the right trigger, brake on the left and then steering on the left analogue.

Still not completed the DLC yet, been too busy looking at cars :(

Does anyone's "near" work?

Mines been fine. Is it just unable to find your location all the time?

Finds my location but when updating it says "An Error has occurred" every time.

NEAR works fine for me? Are you guys on the Wifi VITA's making sure you "connected"?

I think only the 3G one has GPS so the wifi one uses your network connection for some funky position calculation

Think I'm gonna bite the bullet and buy my Vita on Friday :D was gonna wait for it to drop in price but I can't see it going for less than £250 any time soon (Amazon's price). Would be torn between Rayman and Dungeon Hunter Alliance with the bundle deal (as they're both going for £15), have Rayman on PS3 but I do love a good dungeon crawler.

I had this - seems quite a few people have too. Near was working fine but then started listing South Pole Station as one of the locations I'd been to and after that it would always given an error has occurred when trying to update.

At the moment there is no way to manually clear the data associated with near, so if you want to fix it you'll either need to do a factory reset or wait for a new firmware update and hope they fix the glitch in that.

I did the factory reset and it has worked fine since, but obviously you lose any near data you've collected so far.

Well I've only lost near data... I don't think there is anything else to lose which isn't stored on the memory card. Just make sure that trophies were sync'd, and maybe remove the memory card just in case.

All messages from group messaging were retained, and saved games were fine. But if you're not bothered you may as well just wait to see if they can fix it in an update.
