***** PlayStation Vita Official Thread *****

Might take the plunge and get myself a Vita, I presume everyone is still reasonably happy with it ?

What is the battery life like if your constantly gaming.. couple of hours?

Will keep an eye out for a decent bundle/offer.
 
Sainsbury has the wifi plus lbp for 168 ;) I only have have it for a few days but very impressed yes lack of games but what there is seems good ;)

Guys unit 13 or resistance burning skys ?

3+ hours seems the norm, really enjoy my Vita. Only have a few games but most are decent quality and ideal for quick bursts of gaming.

I enjoyed Resistance but I would say don't pay more than £20. There is a demo of Unit 13 on the store, not a bad game.
 
I got a look/play of a few games at the recent expo and have to say Assassins creed & Street fighter vs tekken were the highlights :)

Resistance was ok I'd probably get unit 13, or hold out to see what call of duty is like.
 
I'm thinking about picking up a vita just had a baby boy so no time to play pc games. Sounds like a good idea just to be able to pick up the vita and bang out a game or two while baby sleeps. Decisions Decisions....
 
Caved in and bought a vita just waiting for my memory card to turn up.

I intend to get Little Big Planet (as I loved the ps3 version) however what other games are essentials? I prefer to buy the actual game rather than download so could anyone offer insight into say the best 5 games please? I'm particulary looking for some shmoops.

Also I heard some neo geo games were due to be released via the ps store are these and any other retro games yet available?

Ign main concern are with the controls due to lacking certain buttons, and although I thought nihlistic did a pretty good job with resistance I can understand due to the pace of a cod game. They also mentioned the gfx were a lot better than the recent trailer.

Assassins creed on the other hand plays great on the vita, equal to the ps3 imo. Looks very nice also as does street fighter vs teken.
 
Black Ops looks horrific in my opinion, no wonder they were cagey about showing us too much, the gameplay videos I've seen have been dire. They seriously couldn't come up with anything graphically better than the pile of turd which will be on offer come November? Uncharted has better graphics and that was a launch title, but I guess I'm forgetting it's Activision we're talking about here. I'm not suggesting graphics are the be all and end all but we all know what Call of Duty games are like, it will be that same core gameplay and the main reason people buy the new game each year is to be up to date with the community. I don't see how that tried and trusted gameplay can really be up to scratch on something that supports so few players, has the survival mode completely missing from online multiplayer, has no zombie mode and has basically nothing else to offer apart from a watered down Call of Duty with terrible graphics and what I imagine will be an even worse control scheme.

At least when Killzone is released it'll have had the attention to detail and development time that a game on the Vita deserves, not some rushed out tosh.
 
Just picked up MGS2 for my Vita, does anybody know if it will detect my trophies already earned on the PS3? I bought it mainly so I could finish the Plant on Extreme for the last of the dog tag related trophies and I also need to get through the Snake Tales and VR Missions.

Sync your ps3 save using the transfaring feature which will allow you to use that save on the Vita :) Trophies should start popping up as soon as you do this, except for any that aren't connected to that particular save :)
