***** PlayStation Vita Official Thread *****

Was tempted to import Persona 4 Golden from the US when I ordered my Vita on Friday but decided against it - possibly regretting that now but I think I'm going to hold on for the UK release (Just in case there is DLC!).

Don't think it would have worked out that cheap anyway, £29~ after import tax

Sadly I never played Persona 4 on the PS2. I have played 2 + 3. So my first time around playing P4. From what I have read on P4 Golden though it is a "port" as such, but they have added a new character and a few other bits to it also. The graphics are better and uses the whole Vita screen. It does not look like it has just been stretched to fit the wider screen the resolution deffo better if I compare it to youtube clips for P4 on the PS2.

But its going to follow pretty much the same storyline the difference being that there will be a few extra "sub" storylines.

I highly doubt there will be DLC for this tbh.... but I could be wrong. I just couldn't be bothered to wait until Feb next year for the UK version :p I paid £41 for my copy, but keep in mind I bought it from a UK seller but being shipped to Belgium (where I live) I did see copies of the game on Amazon.co.uk being sold by UK based marketplace sellers for about £32 which means you avoid the complication of import taxes and also long delivery times if you order it direct from the USA.

Persona turned up for me today, was expecting Mortal Kombat so it was a surprise when it was Persona. Im tempted to play it but Ill keep it for my daughters chrimbo, she's going to LA in January so Ill lend her my vita for the trip, will keep her amused on the flight.

Looking at getting a vita. I already have a PSN+ subscription and it looks like vita owners are getting some love.

Question - Is there anything that will ever be over 4gb? An online retailer are currently selling 4gb memory cards for £10. I was thinking of getting 2 of these instead of 1 8gb, saving me £10.

I believe a couple of games are over 4gb, blue blaze + another?

Personally now with plus I would opt for a 16gb or 32gb card. You can get a 16gb card for £30 if you look around which would work out better value than several 4gb cards.

So uncharted, gravity rush and mortal kombat free on plus in the space of 2 months. There seems little point in buying any vita games

I imagine Sony is trying to entice new sales of hardware by offering really decent software incentives on games that were released months ago. It's not really a negative thing to have another option of being able to play these games - if you want physical copies to keep rather than them being leased to you on a subscription based model you still retain this option :)

Is the white version available now????

Do you think it's worth selling my black one for it?

You'll have to import it. No news on a white edition for Europe and going by how we tend to miss out on some colour options it's anyone's guess if it'll ever make it to these shores.

Black Friday deal was $179.99 for White Vita, 4GB Card, Assassin's Creed III, Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale download code (US PSN only) and 3 months of PS Plus (US codes only)

Worked out at about £150 after shipping and import taxes - was dispatched from a warehouse in Arizona on Friday, delivered on Monday!

Ridiculously good deal, could probably shift the All Stars code on for a bit too.

I kept being told games I bought over there wouldn't work on UK PSN online modes but been playing madden absolutely fine which is weird, same with AC3, maybe due to no online pass
