Anyone any info on the Vita TV region locking ? Im thinking of importing one in a couple of weeks.

I've been looking for an answer to that too. I can only guess it will be because it's cheap. So to cut costs I imagine it's using the same hardware from the same production line as the Vita. Can't see Sony changing the hardware to region lock when it doesn't seem to be their policy (Vita, PS3 and PS4 region free).

Sold my Vita, have pre ordered a PS4... does that make sense :D

Anyway what am I going to miss out on, other than the remote play which wouldnt have bothered me anyhow as I have constant access to a PS4/TV setup w/o distraction.

Nah read this over several times "Sold my Vita" doesn't make any sense

:D

Can someone point me in the right direction with a problem I am having?

Decided to sell on my vita and use the proceeds towards a ps4 but when I go to the "format and restore" part of settings it insists on asking for a parental control password and I have never set one up. I only used the thing for one hour, have tried emailing sony support but no answer.

Any idea of what i should do i would like to post it tomorrow and want my username and data srubbed beforehand

Thanks in advance :)

Try doing it from the recovery menu, turn the Vita off then turn it back on by holding the Power Button, PS Button and the Right Shoulder Button. After a few seconds you'll get the PS logo followed by Safe Mode with a Restore PS Vita System option.

Anyone else having problems with the Vita accessing PSN? Been having an odd issue for the past couple of days.

I downloaded Castlestorm and when I look at highscores it says "not signed into PSN". When I try to sign into PSN from the game it hangs and I have to close the game. To sign into PSN it gives me the logon and password screen, which I'm sure it didn't do before.

I assumed it was a bug with the game but then I tried Super Stardust and that is having a problem getting to PSN also. Again gives me the logon and password screen. It doesn't hang like Castlestorm but it refuses to stay in PSN and get any form of highscore.

Don't think it's my PSN account either as I can log onto the store OK.

Any ideas?

Came across this earlier and doing the following fixed it for me :

http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/11/10/system-update-bug-locking-vita-out-of-psn

On a web browser (PC/Mac, tablet or phone -- even the Vita's own browser should be able to access it,) go to the Sony Entertainment Network website at http://www.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/
Click the "Sign In" button.
Type in your PlayStation Network login email address and password.
On the next page, you are asked to review and accept the Sony Online Network Terms of Service. Click to agree to the new terms.
Go back to your PlayStation Vita's PSN login screen (or use any PSN feature such as Messages or Friends) and login to the network.

Mine was about the same, then I emailed them asking for refund and I got a dispatch email!

Think I'll try this, thanks

Update

Checked my email one last time before emailing Nippon Yasan and bingo my 64GB Vita Card as been dispatched, it's like they read these forums lol

I have seen a fair few negative reviews to be honest, but most seem to quite unfairly be comparing it to the console games. Though they do make a good point, that the Vita really could handle a port of one the 3d ones, and this is kind of short-changing the vita once again
