Was going to come on here and say to all these others guys ganging up on purplesky "Ok so what if this retailer things the PSV is not selling like hot cakes? If you like your PSV then screw what the figures say - I know I do :)".

But then after reading on.. I thought... hmm.
And hold up, thought you said your friend gave you this information? Now suddenly you are also involved with this retailer?
 
Well I thought the point of a forum was to *discuss* topics and not basically tell someone that they're trolling. That to me sounds like a fan boy type of response, which I suppose is to be expected in a thread about the Vita.

And there have not been any shortages of the Vita - far from it. The retailers only got a limited supply which have been fulfilled by a limited customer base.

Sorry I;ve not gotten back faster I've beena bit busy. That looks like it should work, is the file format MP4?

One programme that is perfect for that is Handbrake. It'll alo you to rip anything and any resolution to MP4 or MKV.

http://handbrake.fr/downloads.php is the address.

The only settings you need are MP4 as the file format, Large File Size ticked, set Anamoprhic to none and then set the resolution to 960x544. The Vita will play anything upto 128x720 but since it's native resolution is only 960x544 anything larger is just a waste of storage space.

Leave constant quality at RF 20. That should just about do it.

I'll try and get a few images u tonight to help anyone out.

I've got an episode of South Park, Thrones and The Big Bang theory on mine. All look excellent.

If YOU out the system into standby (tap the power button) then downloads will stop. If it goes into standby on it's own they will not.

With respect I'm not sure why you are even in this thread. You clearly have no interest in the device, your first post was telling people not to add to their 30000 credit card debt (:confused:) and since al you've done is rag on the system. It's not a fanboy thread by any means but you're also not offering anything constructive. I don't go into apple threads complaining about stuff and I'd appreciate it if the same courtesy were applied to my thread.

The PSP is the highest selling non Nintendo portable ever. It is the fastest selling console in the UK ever. It sol over 70 million units world wide.

If the Vita is only that successful I'll be more than happy. Some incredible games came out on the PSP and it was a pain in the ass to develop for. The Vita on the other hand is not.

That is proper flawed.

I am an XBOX 360 fanboy, and I ain't scared to admit that. But I can safely admit that Sony have done a good job on the Vita. But, everyone has they're own opinion. It's just when people start to make up false stuff...

I am NOT involved with the retailer. My friend who is a manager is. I have however worked for the retailer within the past 12 months, and if you know anything about employment contracts, you will know what you can and can not disclose about the company with a period after leaving.

Gosh, you lot are paranoid. Still think there is an awful wiff of fanboyism judging by some of the responses.
 
I doubt anyone can call me a Sony fanboy :D (360 rulez lol) It's a cracking piece of kit and TBH if it only sold 100 units then I will still be happy with mine :D

This !!! with the slight exception in red :p hehe

And with the Blazblue thing on auction site, I'm guessing the same I think the seller meant to put it up for 28.99. Hopefully they will honor the sale though.

edit: YAY code for £5 off escape plan got emailed to me :D downloading now !!

Well I ain't making up false stuff. I haven't got any motive to do that. I really wouldn't waste my time to be honest.

But I'm not bothered either way as we shall see over the next several months how successful the Vita is, for the better or worse.

Do you have any issues with the sound and sync at all mate?
I messed with the settings and it went out by about 3 seconds, no idea what I did!
 
My Vita wouldn't turn on this morning :( , when i put it on charge the button which is normally blue was just flashing orange. Couldn't find anything in the manuals about it so did some googling and found a little fix where you have to hold the power button down for around 30 seconds for a hard reset, it solved it. Dont know why it happened, only played it twice, maybe it doesn't like neglect.

Also does anyone else's eyes hurt from playing it for over 30 minutes? My eyes were so sore last night! I haven't had it sore eyes ever from playing a console!

Mine did this earlier, FIFA froze...mind you I had been playing it on and off all day :)

Was just an episode of Top Gear in mkv format. Think it was just something I did tho!

Quick question regarding resolution.

Currently doing an Ep of South Park

Source: 624 x 352

When I try to edit the Width and Height it will just stay at that, even if Keep Aspect Ratio is ticked or unticked. Any ideas?
