PlayStation VR / VR2

Sony will refund you, I'm sure if you only have a small amount of game time on any game they will refund.

Unfortunately not! They're militantly strict on this stuff, if you've so much as downloaded the game (not even launched it) you usually won't get a refund unless the game itself is completely broken.

Bugger, just went to try Job Simulator and it requires roomscale; I don't have a 2m x 2m area anywhere! Unfortunately as I've already downloaded and started it I highly doubt I'll be able to get a refund but I'll give it a go.

Tried a bit of Moss though and it's wonderful, and is played sitting down which makes a nice change from all the standing and moving around of everything else I've tried so far.
Have you got somewhere nearly big enough? Maybe you could manually mark out a 2x2 space with the adjustment setting. And just be careful lol I mark space out over my sofa etc as play space

I need to check something with your VR folks with more experience to see why thisnis and if it's normal.

My iPhone unlocks with face detection, it has sensors on the front that do this, there is no visible light from the sensors to human eyes.

But with the PSVR2 headset when I enable the passthrough through mode so I can see my surround in black and white, as soon as I pick up the phone the face detection sensor on the front of the phone starts visibly blinking like made - it shows up a flashing white light in the headset

I want to know why this happens; is the camera on the headset picking up light wave length that's invisible to the human eye? And do all VR headsets pickup on these frequencies? I haven't tried yet but I'm wondering if the headset will see blinking lights from the IR repeater on TVvremotes

Being delivered today. More excited about this than when I got the PS5.

No idea what games to get, I got the Horizon bundle and already have GT7. I'd like 2 more, are there any must-haves that stand out from the rest, judging from reviews?

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same. As you say I’d assume whatever wavelength the camera/FaceID light or scanner is using isn’t visible to the human eye but the headset camera can detect it.

I've noticed a stuck green pixel on mine since it arrived. I usually pick it up during dark scenes or cinema mode. Tempted to send back, but have seen posts else where around others having issues and 'mura' being a bit of a lottery as well.

Out of interest, had anyone else noticed any issues with stuck pixels or grainy images?

Mine is noticably grainy during dark moments.

If you search on 'green pixel' on the psvr sub reddit there are a few posts. I'd send it back, could be a bad batch of OLEDs and will also affect future resale value.

True, I'm worried about what I might end up with based on what I have seen on Reddit. I am enjoying PSVR, so I don't know whether to refund and wait for these to be available at stores or send back for 'repair' tough decision, as either way I am going to be waiting a while for another headset. Frustrating :@

The grainy quality to the image is inherent to the optics/aliasing filter Sony have chosen for PSVR2. A replacement would only have the same. Reducing brightness levels can help a bit in some games. The stuck pixel is a separate issue - don't have any on my PSVR2.

It's just the IR, if you aim a TV remote at your phone camera and press a button you'll see the same effect.

Out of interest guys, what is everyone doing regarding sound? Is there no way for wireless headsets to be used with the VR? I’m not keen on the supplied buds
I find the supplied earbuds to be the most comfortable option, and the sound quality is pretty decent. I tried wearing my Pulse 3D headset with the PSVR2 but the combined weight is uncomfortable for longer play sessions ... perhaps you might be different. One thing to be aware of, regardless of which option you go with, is that audio levels drop low for some reason when the PSVR2 is switched on. I have to go into audio settings and readjust things to get the volume right. Other people have reported this issue too on reddit.
