PlayStation VR / VR2

Annoyingly my sense controller won’t work in RE. I can use a dual sense controller, but the sense one won’t even register clicks. Thankfully GT7 was the thing I had wanted most for at start and that doesn’t use sense, so all good. Seems it’s a known issue though

There is some potential fixes in these 2 reddit threads.

Fingers crossed that one of these fixes your issue.

Done a long sesh on Rez Infinite today, just a wonderful experience. Glorious visuals with dark inky blacks and i really like the headset rumble in this version.
Master of Rez trophy is so easy to earn with these controllers that it almost feels like cheating.
Next up is RE Village which ive never played and heard its pretty scary. Wish me luck :)

Did a 30 min session on GT7, incredible, will definitely stick with VR.

Definitely not figured out the headset quite right yet, it's alittle fiddly to put on compared to my Quest 1 but that thing was heavy.

I'm getting awful motion sickness with PVRS2 I can mange about 10 mins then a few hours of nausea and sweating . Tried few suggestions on YouTube but still feel awful while paying and worse after :(

I was the same with the original vr headset on the PS4, I will wait until Amazon start stocking them & then at least if I find it uncomfortable the unit can go back for a refund.
I dont fancy shelling out that amount of cash for something that I will not be able to use.
I did crumble today and have ordered one of the new dual sense edge controllers though ;)
Cheers all

What games have you tried ? Try something with minimal motion to start with eg. Moss, Puzzling Places, Tetris. Build up your endurance with those games first, extending the time played gradually eg. 10 mins to begin with, 15 min next day and so on. For games with free motion, "smooth locomotion" causes many people to experience nausea so turning on comfort options like "snap turning" can be helpful. As soon as you feel symptoms coming on it's important to stop immediately - don't push through it, it will take you much longer ( hours ) to recover.

I'm having VR motion sickness with PSVR2 too. And I'm not prone to motion sickness in cars, boats etc. The majority of people can overcome VR motion issues with practice and perserverance. But I guess there will be some who never get accustomed to it ... hopefully we aren't in that group.

I find the nausea with PSVR2 to be a lot better than it was with psvr1

As per above; turn smooth motion off. Have a fan blowing towards your face while playing. Play in short bursts frequently as this will make your body used to VR. And play slow VR games first - your first game you play in VR should definitely not be a first person shooter, take it slow and play something that's isometric or where you can sit down like Moss. And as a last resort if you still have issues, go your doctor or pharmacy and buy anti nausea/sea sickness medication and take before playing VR

Managed to have a 1.5 hour session this evening with only minimal nausea/beginning to feel warm toward the end. Started with Moss ( quill is a cute little thing ), then had a game of Demeo ( really fun if you like tabletop DnD ) and finished with some Kayak : Mirage in the Antarctic setting ( with Orcas included ! )
Looks like I'm finding my VR legs ...

What's everyone's thought now having owned the headset for almost a week ? I'm experiencing much less nausea etc, and can tolerate sessions of 1.5 hrs without too much difficulty. But I'm finding the headset to be a bit uncomfortable on my forehead. I might resort to using the earbuds rather than the Pulse 3D headphones, as the latter adds to the discomfort and tends to slip position when placed on top of the PSVR2 headset.
As for the visual fidelity, I'm a bit disappointed and wish Sony hadn't gone with fresnel lenses - the "sweet spot" is small and the lenses, to my mind, reduce the impact of foveated rendering/tracking. Despite these issues I'm still having fun, though.

I’m pretty happy with mine overall. it’s totally fine sitting playing GT7 but on standing games eventually I find it will slip down your face losing the sweet spot. It also works well with glasses and is easy to put on and remove whilst wearing them. My only other gripe is that it would be handy to have built in speakers like the Quest.

I bought the Horizon bundle but haven't even tried it yet, been having far too much fun in Pavlov but I've also tried a bit of the Star Wars demo which, even as someone who isn't a Star Wars fan, was really cool.

I'm very impressed with the whole thing, the set-up process was great and the experience is extremely polished. I have got the Sense charging station coming as a birthday present though, I resented the price before but charging the controllers individually is quickly going to become a faff and their shape makes them awkward to put down somewhere.
