PlayStation VR / VR2

What games are people planning to play day 1? I’m thinking Pistol Whip and maybe Star Wars. Not fussed about Horizon, never really got on with the non VR games
Pistol Whip, GT7, Horizon, Resi 8 should keep me going for the day.

Horizon isn't a non VR game btw.

Yeah I know but I don’t fancy shelling out £60 on a VR game from a series I historically haven’t liked.
Ah, gotcha! Fair enough.

Personally, I'd like a remake of Blood and Truth. Never did finish that the first time round as the blurriness and tracking issues I had wasted it for me.

Oh and I'll probably pick up that horror rollercoaster game. Can't mind the name of it.

GT7 is the one I'm looking forward to the most. I've ordered the Horizon PSVR2 bundle .. so I'll be playing that too. I've already got RE8, and I've bought Demeo, Moss Book 1 & 2 and Kayak VR : Mirage.

Mine is coming with Horizon, and I plan to pick up Pavlov, Moss 1+2 and After The Fall. I've already got RE8 and apparently the first Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners for PSVR which was given away a while back on PS+ will be getting a free PSVR2 update. Might get The Last Clockwinder too.

Gran Turismo 7, Horizon and Resident Evil Village are the first psvr2 games I want to try out.

I also fancy playing no man’s sky again as I think it’ll be much better on psvr2 thanks to the better visuals and no longer having to use here move wands!

Has it been confirmed that you automatically get the PSVR 2 /ps5 version if you have it on ps4 via PS+ ?

I’d assumed I’d need to buy it again bundled with the second chapter?

Fanatec DD Pro with 8nm booster, though i'm thinking about getting a larger wheel for the base. Cost me a pretty penny mind but if you've got the scratch.
There's a lot of controversy because GT7 devs messed up the feedback; was abit broke, worked fined after update, then some kid breaks finger so they rollback it back. Some claim it's 'dull', lacks details etc. Personally i think it's fine, and there are a lot of changes you can make on the equipment firmware setup via USB on your PC/laptop then plug it straight back into PS5.
Thinking about getting a Fanatec GT DD Pro ( either 5nm or the 8nm ) for use with GT7, and Forza Motorsport when it gets released later this year ( I know I'd have to get an Xbox wheel for compatibility ). But ... does the DD Pro require a USB-C connection, as that would be problematic with the PSVR2 heading requiring the front USB-C port. Or can the DD Pro be plugged into one of the rear hi-speed USB ports without any issue ? Also, how long is the USB cable provided ? Sorry for all the questions.

It uses standard USB, so USB-C can remain free. It works on any of the non-C ports though, but for convenience I use the single front usb port. It's also fully PC compatible, hence why you put it in PC-mode when upgrading or adjusting firmware on PC/laptop.

Thanks for the reply. That's good to know ... I was worried it might require the front USB-C port. I'm mostly a living room/console player now but still have a high end PC that I can update the firmware on. Thinking about a wheel stand ( NLR 2.0 or GT Omega Apex ) to pair with the DD Pro and CLS pedals ( with load cell kit ). Previously I had a wheel clamped to desk. I don't want too big a rig in the living room as it needs to be moved/stowed away, and some of the collapsible rigs like the Playseat Challenge and NLR F-GT lite don't look stable enough for a direct drive wheel. I'm not going to commit to anything though until I have had a good trial with PSVR2.

I'm using https://nextlevelracing.com/products/next-level-racing-wheel-stand-dd-for-direct-drive-wheels/ with a bog standard wooden dining table chair (we have spare). It's rock solid, heavy and zero flex because of chucky metal welds. When I'm not using it i push it aside so really isnt inconvenient. If I had one of those low sitting racing chairs for it then it would be an issue.
