Plusnet Discussion Thread

Tempted to switch, currently on Infinity, whilst the service is fine, have had some silly billing issues.

For 18 months total costs
BT £468
Plus: £415.81

Is the plusnet fibre service just as good as BT infinity? In Romford, Essex if makes any difference.

Quidco have a £90 cashback offer with plusnet if you sign up "for Fibre with call packages". It does however run out in 9 hours! Actually you might already have factored that in :)

I signed up yesterday and am waiting for it to track.

I'm looking forward to the change too. Will be nice to jump from ~6/0.8 to ~34/6 while paying less.

My install date is on hold until I can provide a MAC as ADSL24 only work Mon to Fri. They were offering 13th-15th Feb. Hopefully I'll get 18th-22nd.

Was the 13th-15th on the calendar wen booking? because mine said the same but when i rung to give mac code they said 18th! they offering me 67/19 @ better price than i can find

Just got my Plusnet Unlimited installation put in today, the openreach engineer was very helpful and fixed some of my telephone wiring for nothing :)
(Splitters moved into the sockets)

The installation just finished so my line-speed is probably still stabalising

Either you're a long way from your cabinet, or Plusnet are still putting people on 40/10 profiles by mistake.

According to the support section 'Broadband Profile' I am on 78mbs

Telephone number:
<removed>
Phone exchange:
SLOUGH MAIN
Estimated line speed:
26Mb (Accurate to within +/- 1Mbit) - Checked on 2013-01-09 20:12:32
Current line speed:
78 Mb

Maybe i should ring them to see what the issue is
