very nice, am loving the rear of the car, really pulls of the 4 exhausts!

love the wheels compared to other examples :)

arn't you some sort of glorified door to door salesman iirc? must do very well :p

If its not an AMG & it gets nicked, your Insurance wont cover it because they'll say it got nicked because of the AMG badge. I've known this to happen before!

I think this is rubbish - however i can easily see the insurance companies trying to get out paying on something like that

Your expensive car has been nicked & you're sitting at home smoking a nice cigar, content in the knowledge that if the car is burnt out you'll get a nice fat wod of dosh.
Then the Insurers go look at your burned out wreck, clipboard in hand; all ready to tick the relevent boxes, but wait this car has got a super-fast look at me badge on the back when its just a 'bog' model, hmm so thats why it was pinched :D
Yes I've heard of a chav sticking an SXI badge on the back of a 'bog' Corsa & then not being able claim after it was pinched.
This behaviour is like modding a car with eg. sports air filter or alloys, then having a crash because the car was faster etc. Do you really think the Insurer would cover you?
Hardly something a Merc owner would do: not tell his Insurer he's got a pretend AMG lol...

Still doesn't mean it warrants the AMG badge unless it's got the engine too, as far as I can see it has AMG alloys, no kit and just amg branded exhaust tips. It's a nice looking car but people will think your trying to pass it off with the badge, those that care about AMGs enough to notice the badge will notice its not one.

That's what I think too.
All show and no go.
I prefer the sleeper look.

if you specified the amg kit on a normal merc, it came with the badging
just like you get M badges on a bmw with the m packet

To be fair, I consider myself a car enthusiast but would not think that it wasn't an AMG mainly due to the quad tailpipes and other than that wouldn't be able to name any other differences for that model of S class. The badge looks pretty cool and the car does have AMG parts on it so I see no reason why it should be removed.

Looks like a great car to cruise up and down the motorways or to take a lady friend out for a meal in :)

The S430 badge gives it away it is not an AMG powered model. It would say S55 or have no badge at all. Having said that, I think that gives the car more credibility in that it is not trying to hide the fact it is not powered by an AMG engine, it is that it has AMG styling.
