pointless omg look at my car post

Can you not get your company to fly you places? 400 miles a day is a lot of time on the road.

Fly to places like leeds? It would take all day and cost hundreds and be a total total nightmare :p

I'd have to leave my house for a certain time, stress about getting along the M4 to heathrow which is 50 miles away, park, pay, get a bus to the terminal. Wait in departures. Get a delayed flight to an airport probably 50 miles away from where i am going, hire a car, drive to where i want to be in a crummy hire car, drive back, return the hire car at a certain time for my flight, wait, get the flight, get home at probably 10pm feeling absolutely shattered.

Alternative is leave whatever time i want, sit in the car for 3 hours in total silence with the seats nice and toasty and some mp3/dvd playing, do whatever the job is, sit in the car listening to tunes etc, get home approx 8 hours door to door after i left not feeling at all stressed or tired.

If the car was stolen, they'd never know what badges were on it.

If it was recovered, they'd presumably not be paying out anyway?

So i'm not sure it would make much of a difference in reality would it?

You've conveniently forgotten stolen and injured another party whilst stolen and stolen recovered but damaged.

Not to mention stolen and recovered but hire costs are incurred in the interim.

Also stolen and photographs are requested as part of pre-theft valuation.

I assumed with your HUGE mileage that you were doing really long trips. 2000miles a week is 400 a day (Mon-Friday) or 285 miles if you count weekends. How do you do 400 a day if you are only driving for 6 hours? (OK just put that in my calculator and an average speed of 67mph would be pretty hard to obtain I would have thought!?

Give or take half an hour thats about right for the average speed i generally get up and down the country, i drive quite quickly.
