Pokemon GO! (2016)

I am going to wait it out tbh, next patch has tracker system changes which if it works well, will be very good.

It brings back the 'steps' for Pokemon near pokestops. Spawns are divided by wild and pokestop spawns. Your tracker will show you which Pokemon are near your current nearby pokestops, as well as give you a notification of despawn if the timer runs out when tracking a specific pokemon. The tracker is the old 3 steps system, so hopefully that stuff is sorted out by the time it is released. Wild spawns are just random spawns which are not near any pokestops.

This is beta testing with some users and will likely be released in the next patch.

Looks better. Though will keep using this for now. :p

I had a look at those map options. I think it takes a lot of the fun out of the game. It is the chance aspect of pokemon go which i enjoy. If the finding part is done for you, there is not much to it. I can understand why people use them but i think a tracker would be much better than a map and i would rather play it without than have a map.

I am a hearty lv25 with 8 pokemon over 2k without the map and i dont live in the city. I would have definitely lost my motivation if i used a map since i would probably catch what has spawned immediately near me and then give up till something else nice spawns, rather than go round looking.

Though i suppose if you dont have time or dont care much for the long walks, map is an option.

It does remove the fun but I cba doing it all again after I stupidly used my main account for botting. So just catching up a bit. :p

Looking forward to being able to track again!

a small data add on for this month will be a cheap price to pay if it allows you to kill a handful of hours of time tbh. I think its like £5 for 500mb, which should cover you until your data refreshes, as long as it is used mainly for pokemon.

you'll be charged £6.50 for every 500MB of UK data you use outside your allowance

I've already whacked up a huge bill with Vodafones £3 per day for roaming usage. I'll be looking to switch providers at the end of my contract in a a few months.

I think 500gb is more than enough for anything . Unless you mean 500mb...

Ran into an argument with the wife on Tuesday when a Blastoise showed up as we were driving home.

Me: 1247CP

Her: 31CP

It was a quiet drive back. :p

Just noticed the Appraise feature. Basically an IV rater then.

I did give it a go on my lunchtime walk today. It used around 6MB which surprised me. I caught an Onix which is a new one for me. It escaped around 6 times. But it was odd... It was as though I couldn't throw the Pokeballs far enough..? When I first started throwing they were ending up well short which resulted me in eventually having to do a full on fast swipe up the screen just to reach it. It didn't 'look' that far away on the screen. Previously, doing such an action would have resulted in the ball flying off the screen and out of sight. Has something changed? May have been a one off.

I believe that spawning pokemon have multiple levels with their own maximum level. It appears for the maximum level the pokemon has which is under or equal the trainers level.

eg.

Two trainers at lvl15 and lvl 25

Blastoise appears with random possible levels at 3, 8, 14, 19 (obviously these are hidden until you can see the semi circle relative to your level after you catch it or its cp vs max cp for your level.)

The lvl 15 character will get the level 14 blastoise, while the lvl25 guy will get the lvl19 blastoise.

The same pokemon at the same level would have the same IV but this is not necessarily true for the same pokemon at a different level due to trainer difference.

Something has changed. I find this for various Pokemon now as well for the last week. Certain ones that are further away are just very hard to catch. It feels like you are throwing the ball, it is hitting an invisible ceiling and then falling short of the target. It happens everytime with Scythers. Doing a full swipe helps, but it's not as accurate for some reason.
