Saw last night on a facebook page that someone had a lure down at 1am in the morning in a park with only one way in and out. Proper dodgy.

Thanks. Sorry for the dumb question but will I always have to update via the APK or will it update via the play store once it's released? Or would I have to re-download, and if so will it keep my progress?

Hatched my first 10km egg. Got an Electrabuzz. Pretty happy with that!

Productive lunch break. Visited over 40 pokestops.
Hatched a 10km egg for a CP 584 snorlax.
Gyms around me are too hard with over 1000 CP pokemon in them. One closest to my work has a CP 1016 tentacruel and another has a CP 1387 flareon in it

Nope, once it's released to the UK the Play store will pick it up and update it normally. In fact it's just been released in Germany and German players who sideloaded it noticed they received the update via the app store.
Progress is kept on the cloud so it doesn't matter if you reinstall the app or even get a new phone.

I was down to about 20, but back up to 82 after my lunch break. I ran out of space in my bag - I can see me being full of potions and revives and having no space for pokeballs! Good job there is a delete option on items

Anyone know if what hatches out of eggs is dependent on your level when you found the egg or when you hatch it?
So should I incubate my 10km ones for the most chance of getting something good, or my most recently found as the older ones will be low CP due to me being lower level when I found them?

Pro tip: Always use your infinite incubator for your 2km eggs, as purchased or received ones are based on number of uses, not distance.
Save your 10/5kms for limited use incubators to get the most mileage (pun intended).

Nobody is sure. Some think it might be determined by the level at the start of the incubation or by your level when they hatch.
I just hatch my 10km and 5km before all the kms

Yeah but you can attack with 6 pokemon. (Assuming its not the same team as you)
