Pokemon GO! (2016)

Loads of pokestops near me and on the way to my lads nursery and the park next door and my new job location. Guess I'll be looking at the phone come the nursery run in the morning, might even go via the park on the way back. Lots of people there today hunting pokemon lol

Yeah I'll be left behind on this game. Just not enough around me to keep up with others.
There are 2 or 3 a long way apart but in town there are 5 in 2 mins walk.

Game seems to be down for me. Was trying to capture a Drowzee in my bedroom when the game froze. Now it keeps saying theres no GPS signal found, on Wi-Fi or 4G and after several phone restarts.

EDIT: Game working again. No Drowzee for me though :(

EDIT AGAIN: Damn it! This bug where it freezes when you throw a pokeball is so annoying. I got lucky the first time, but I've just missed out on catching a Doduo two times due to the game freezing on me. Hope they fix that.

If I wasn't at work tomorrow, I'd consider going for a walk. At least around the immediate streets, since I live in a pretty safe neighbourhood. There's apparently a Squirtle somewhere nearby, but its showing 3 footprints, so I'd have to go hunting for it.

Want to.... but can't. Need to go to bed. Damn employment! :(

I wonder, is a sim card required? Im using an old phone of mine, no sim but linked to a google account and has wifi connected.
 
The Google Play store will hide apps that are not compatible with your device. Pokemon Go requires Android 4.4 or higher. If its an old phone it could be that the OS is outdated.
 
I have one Pokestop on a constant spin cycle, luckily for me without even getting out the house! Gotten a few eggs plus the balls.

Its 4.4.2

I installed it via Clov!s' link and its running. Unfortunately now have the GPS signal not found problem :o :( Location is on, google maps works fine but not pokemon
 
Managed to take over a gym tonight and not 5mins later I was kicked out again!

Had great fun with this in my local town, the amount of people around also playing is staggering, even last week before it was released!
 
As a total side note, I tried loading the Pokemon theme in the apple music store just now for nostalgia reasons.. and found 'Pokemon Christmas Bash'.
