Political Correctness Gone Mad Again

It's not no platforming, I just find it very boring to read Marxist Marxist Marxist Marxist.

I honestly have no idea what Karl Marx even theorised about, i'm just not that interested.

I would love to see a coherent argument that explained why a sports player using (exploiting?) their natural ability to excel in a sport (no doubt assisted greatly by lots of practice and hard work) is any different from an attractive person using (exploiting?) this aspect of themselves for similar personal gain (again I'm sure that the people involved in modelling and promotion like in these case with sport have to put in a fair bit of work to maintain and improve their natural beauty)...

Any look at a sport like athletics, running or basketball would confirm that some groups are inherently more 'suited' to excelling at the sport and that their isn't some universal baseline of equality, potential wise, that we all sit on from which anyone can achieve the highest levels of excellence.

Right click on my forum name......open up a new window/tab..... on the next page look to the top right and you will find a clickable button 'ignore' and you can not be bothered by the sight of my posts anymore.

Personally I have a grand total of zero people on my 'block/ ignore' list which may give you an indication as to what I think about the value of using such tools

If you continually burst the bubble they'll just suspend you from the forum Caracus, it's how the modern left group thinkers work. They proclaim themselves as anti-fascists so their inclination towards censorship (and in the real world violence to achieve censorship) is fine.

I’m amazed that anyone watches it.
I thought most people watch motorsports for the crashes.

I would be amazed that women aren’t watching F1 because of grid girls.
Sure it happens... I know a few women who watch female WWE wrestlers for the technique and ring-person-ship... but most watch it because they fancy the female wrestlers!!

They're not exploiting themselves, they're exploiting me and my uncontrollable sexual urges.... The Evidence says so! :p

There isnt one.....but when you cant have it yourself.....bring the others that can down with you.

Then I commend you for doing so... its quite an insidious thing to seek to insulate oneself totally or even mainly from differing points of view even if the source is a dead horse beating, monotonous, bore on certain subjects

Ill try and tone it down a bit though....

NOOO!!!

Ramp it up. Commies, Commies, Commies. The only good Commie is a dead one. We need a new Pinochet, give them Commies a free helicopter ride

:D:D:D

Stephen Fry (probably a Marxist) said something interesting on The Last Leg (probably Marxist). Paraphrased it was that we will probably look back at grid girls and darts girls with similar embarrassment as we now do to the Black and White Minstrel show.

I don't think he is in a position to talk about such things being gay an all. I'm not surprised he's against it, i bet his tune would be different if it were oiled up teenage boys that were banned.

One of the advantages of political systems like the one currently in place in the UK is that they offer the chance (if not any guarantee) of discussing differences of view without physical violence necessarily being involved.

I may be prone to a little bit of hyperbole and certain have a degree of doggedness with certain subjects but I do try to avoid outward expressions condoning physical violence over political matters.

I haven't seen the quote or article........and I generally agree with a lot of things that Fry says........... but I think he's s missing a bit of a point here.

'The Black and White minstrels show' did not celebrate the visage it presented (that of black people)..... it mocked it...........(by having white people in 'blackface' larping as stereotypes of black people)

'F1 Grid Girls' and 'Darts walk on girls' don't mock heterosexual females....they celebrate a somewhat idealised form of female heterosexual beauty

Compare his views on F1 and darts 'girls' with his none to thinly disguised enthusiasm for classical Greek celebration of the (rather youthful) male form....

I wonder if Fry would look back on classical Greek culture 'with embarrassment' for their tendency to objectify some rather young male forms.... What with their associated perchant for pederasty which by contemporary laws would see those adults involved facing criminal chages?

I just worry about your blood pressure — seeing Marxists behind every shadow must be exhausting.

The women who do this, do this by choice. They get paid for it. If they had a problem with it they wouldn't do it. So my question is, why do you have a problem with it? Do you object to women choosing their own profession in life and if so why?
I feel sorry for them.

One of the darts girls was doing an interview on the radio and said Barry Hearn has been a great boss and treated her with utmost respect, as did the crowd at the events. She didn't have a bad word to say about it and said she has since received abuse from feminists as she tried to defend her position.
