You said "they cannot provide an impartial point of view", specifically referencing the grid girls themselves rather than it being a commercial decision.
True. People are no longer willing to engage in civil discussion, they have become completely polarised and it is now an inevitability that they will turn to violence.Whilst social media can be used as a force for good it's increasingly being used as a force which is causing harm. It no longer appears to matter what your political or social views are, the way they are being responded to on social media websites is nothing short of disgraceful. I think this is likely to continue until your identity can be clearly verified before you are allowed to post on social media.
It's not just social media however. Sadly more and more people have no concept of how to conduct themselves in 'real life'. The bullying and rancour being levelled at those in public life is quite frankly appalling. As an example, I don't agree with the vast majority of what Jacob Rees-Mogg has to say, but I do defend his right to say it. The manner in which he was heckled and man-handled during his speech at Bristol University was sickening to watch. I have to assume these 'thugs' have no social skills to enable them to enter into political discourse other than boorishness and violence.
A very worrying development that if not stamped out will come to damage us all in the long run.

Turkeys don't vote for Christmas, that's the point. It's irrelevant whether they have other revenue streams, the fact they do the job for financial gain means they cannot provide an impartial point of view.
I think this is the first time I've ever heard of the Darts or F1 bosses described as radical feminists.
Darts removed their walk on girls after "talks with broadcasters". One might assume that the broadcasters where the ones influenced by feminists groups and applied pressure to the darts organisation. Is there actually evidence of a femanist group approaching the board of directors and marketing and voicing their dislike of portrayal of these women being paid to do what they do?
Or did F1 just wake up after some financial and marketing research and think, we literally won't lose anything but gain the possibility to attract a larger female market share than previously, obviously, in a male centric sport?
My god the world will be so glorious in 2100.
I've not heard of any vocal feminists calling for it, and the statements mention talks with sponsors and broadcasters. Is there actually evidence of a femanist group approaching the board of directors and marketing and voicing their dislike of portrayal of these women being paid to do what they do?

One might assume that, or that the broadcasters have done their market research and realised that they are not getting many female viewers, then asked questions as to what puts them off.Darts removed their walk on girls after "talks with broadcasters". Formula 1 bosses have just seen this and jumped the gun to avoid any bad PR. They will have preferred to weather a small storm from disgruntled fans than be attacked for being "outdated"
So it's advertising revenues and money and getting with the times basically.
Not quite pc gone mad....
What I'm looking forward to is what they replace the Grid girls with as when it comes down to it, they'll still need someone to hold the number to indicate grid slot and another someone to shade the driver with a brolly (19 races against sun, British GP rain) and if men get the job then wouldn't that be something to discuss
Indeed but I stand by my points. My two points were that if they are indeed so desperate for this job then they are likely to now be forced into a ''worse' job. My second point is that other people have no right to decide for them whether they are allowed to do this job. I thought we had progressed far with equality in this country where women were free to make their own career decisions. But it appears that's not the case and some sectors of society want to restrict women's choices. We seem to have regressed.Turkeys don't vote for Christmas, that's the point. Broadcasters go with the market and what advertiser's want.
They don't just cow down to "feminists"
I doubt that many broadcasters have the same level of terror as you exhibit over "Radical Marxists".Broadcasters like most contemporary commercial enterprises will often 'play it safe' when it comes to 'social justice issues' because they have seen what radical Marxist groups can do . . .
You are an arrogant so-and-so aren't you? Who are you to describe a picture of a black child modelling a hoodie with the slogan “coolest monkey in the jungle” as a "big load of nothing"?. . . over a perceived racial incident which was a big load of nothing . . .
"Radical Priests" have got in on the act now have they?. . . it's business playing safe as they fear what radical priest action or at least the twitter mob will do
So how do you suggest helping such desperate people to find 'better' jobs and why do you feel some people have a right to prevent women choosing their career?
