Political Correctness Gone Mad Again

Banning the walk on girls at the start of a darts match - GOOD IDEA.
Banning the grid girls in Formula One - GOOD IDEA.

This outdated practice is sexist and has absolutely Sweet FA to do with beer bellies or fast cars.

Typical ridiculous nonsense!

Who really gets huts by withdrawing women from acting as props for darts and F1?

The spectators? No if the want to look at scantily clad women they can find plenty elsewhere and can easily access hardcore pornographic images on their smartphones?

The promoters? Probably have a minimal impact some of their customers may be put off 'PC nonsence gone crazy!' but this has to be balanced against the advertisers who may be scared of by the social media lynch mob

The girls? Well there now out of work..! Some of them may be smart university students paying their tuitions but then some are going to be the less bright individuals making the most of the few assets they may have (i.e their looks and youth)

3rd/4th wave feminism making it harder for some of the sisterhood to get a half decent job!

To be honest I agree, I really don't see the attraction...
It's almost as stupid as the girls on monitors sprawled over cars

You don't understand that heterosexual men are attracted to some young women dressed in little to no clothing and that advertisers may seek to use this to help them sell their wares?

There are a few angles to this. I initially thought the same, but then I had the inkling that girls relying on these infrequent part-time gigs might be forced to find something more reliable i.e. get a proper job.

Can you please provide a definitive list or what constitutes 'a proper job'? Pehaps they do some other work that relies on their looks at other times that feminism would also seek to prevent them doing thinking it would stop 'objectification'

Which is ridiculous..........men don't 'objectify' women because of attractive ladies at the darts or F1. We objectify women because we are driven by sexual urges honed by evolution and sexual selection which drive us to want to meet attractive women close to their peak fertility age .........

Countries like Saudi Arabia cover up their women in public but the men still 'objectify' the women (I would suggest more so than in the west)

movies like "magic mike" are great though and totally fine with women

Walk on girls are models. They aren't out of work just because they aren't on the darts anymore:p

Having eye candy for drunk men to leer at is grim (fighting/darts/etc). Having them to sell computer parts to virgins is grim. Having them on starting grids in hotpants for no reason is grim (it’s the sports clinging onto a past age where drivers were playboys slaying women left, right, and centre... it’s not like that not).

You find men being sexually attracted to women grim?

Feminism really is a load of science denying nonsense isn't it!

Why is this a problem now and not years ago? Weinstein bandwagon?

What about the MotoGP and car/bike shows?

What next, the Supercross/Motocross events?

Its really simple in my view. Is it right to have women 'objectified' in a regular mixed sex workplace (unless its self administered)? er no women should not be put under pressure to dress in a certain way if its not directly relevant to their role. Some common sense is needed for 'front of house staff' like receptionists and hospitality/ service workers like air crew

Is it a problem for an attractive woman to advertise a product or promote a brand or event? No not generally............... From what I have seen the women paid to be at the darts are relatively modestly attired compared to what many young women socialise wearing anyway and the audience are generally all grown adults

But surely these girls are now losing their jobs?
