I love gsync if you have not seen it in the flesh you really don't know what your missing I am guessing free sync is the same but it really does make a difference

There was even a blind test done *People didn't know weather they were G-Sync or Freesync* and the majority said G-Sync felt smoother -

Unfair test tbh, completely different ranges, 30-144hz VS 35-90HZ, of course gsync will feel better with a far wider and lower range support.
Much better this comparison:

It should be noted that the real benefits of variable refresh rate technologies really come into play when viewing lower frame rate content, around 40 - 75fps typically delivers the best results compared with Vsync on/off. At consistently higher frame rates as you get nearer to 144 fps the benefits of FreeSync (and G-sync) are not as great, but still apparent. There will be a gradual transition period for each user where the benefits of using FreeSync decrease, and it may instead be better to use a Blur Reduction feature if it is provided. On FreeSync screens this is not an integrated feature however, so would need to be provided separately by the display manufacturer.
I could afford to do what Kaap does but I couldn't justify it to myself at all to be honest, Many other priorities
I've had experience with both a Freesync and G-Sync monitor, The goal is the same but G-Sync does it better.

While we hadn't anticipated it during our planning phase, Borderlands turned out to be a gimmie for Nvidia since the AMD setups were destined to either tear (if we left v-sync off) or stutter/lag (if we switched v-sync on).
Then buy 2 monitors simples
its shame theres no hack for nvidia cards to run freesync, that would solve it
What ever happened to that stuff where they had Gsync running on a laptop without Gsync?

This....I'm surprised this has not be investigated by the bios...drivers gurus...

It was a myth.
Current Nvidia cards don't have the hardware to run Adaptive Sync, so hence the module in the monitor.
