wished i lived in a marginal seat seems little point voting in a rock solid labour safe seat, waste of time they always win here no matter what even in the 70s. anyone else considering not voting because of this ?

Blame the people. We got closer to proportional representation with the alternative voting system proposed by the Libdems which went to a referendum in 2011.

Corbyn should dig up the Ed's gravestone (the manifesto stone) and smash it to pieces, can guarantee if they put it on YouTube, it'd get millions of views.

Jermey Corbyn when asked to condemn the IRA:

Not too controversial a question surely? Does he condemn a terrorist group? Yet he does the standard politician response as if faced with a controversial question he doesn't want to answer... he dodges the question, he criticises the British military then he pretends he can't hear and goes silent at the end...

Yet he's quite happy to be vocal re: his opposition to UK military actions.
I'd be really interested to know Corbyn's views on what's going on in Venezuela right now. He's previously sung the praises of the regime of Hugo Chavez so he must have an opinion. Absolutely terrifying that this man might become PM if people don't bother to vote.

AV was not a proportional system. Better than FPTP but still a desperately sorry excuse for a system.

Eh, I voted for FPTP. A country hamstrung by endless coalition governments didn't really appeal to me. I live for the extremes! Not the gerrymandering middle-ground averages!
Germany has coalition governments and they're doing ok. I'm also not convinced you know what gerrymandering is.

So in summary on economics, Corbyn votes against increasing revenues, against allowing people to keep more of their money through tax reductions on existing taxes, and against anything that would cut or control public spending.

Perhaps that explains why the public has such low confidence in his ability to run the economy.
The "public" don't know the first thing about Corbyn or economics or who they should have confidence in beyond what the sun and Mail tell them. The electorate are morons.

That they may be, but on Corbyn, they are right, even if their thought processes aren't.

So, will Labour oust Comrade Unelectable before the June GE or when the party grenades after their worst GE result ever?
They can't organise a change of leadership in this timeframe, no chance. Who else would they put in his place? Burnham is off to be GM mayor and everyone else is hopeless.

Besides, the whole notion of him being "unelectable" is such stupid self fulfilling prophecy. "I'm not voting for him because he's unelectable." Wtf!

The bigger problem is first Corbyn has to stand down, and as he has shown, he won't even if 80% of his MP's voted no confidence in him.

If the membership only consists of Corbyn supporters, he has no reason to stand down and can survive a challenge.
