Didn't you just accuse caged of 'shilling'?
Yep, after he attacked me for "arguing in bad faith" and then dodge the argument i put forward. I'd happily take that as a bit of perhaps heated back and forth banter with someone who feels strongly and has a point. CREATIVE!11 mean while contribute the square root of nothing other than throw in a personal dig.

Ah, so it's justified when you do it but not when it's done to you. Gotcha.

Astounding arrogance from the Tory MP for South East Cornwall:

Our local Tory MP has been threatening to take people to court for libel over similar stuff! and when challenged about campaigning earlier today was very dismissive and rude - before people started giving him actual grief about it.

Avoiding naming as he'll probably try and take me to court as well :s

Surely at that point you put party alliegiance to one side and just use your vote to eject somebody who completely fails to understand what being an MP is about?

Be interesting to see how voting turns out here this time around - 2015 Tories surged out of almost nowhere on the back of the Lib Dem backlash, Lib Dems folded, Labour is nowhere to be seen, UKIP was making up serious ground but I'm not sure that will continue this election - looks like they've been replaced by an independent party entry. Lib Dems yet again fell over themselves when this election was called and only just put together a prospective parliamentary candidate. Its almost comedic.

I'm not sure if Corbyn has commented on the control of the internet before but as the election campaign resumes,

"He warned about the UK seeking to "control" the internet in a manner associated with regimes like North Korea. "If we turn the internet into a tool for censorship and surveillance, the terrorists will have won. We won't make ourselves safer by making ourselves less free."

That alone wins my vote.

Theresa May is right on extremism. We cannot be held back by a fear of causing offence. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/jun/04/theresa-may-extremism-radicalisation

I do not believe Jeremy Corbyn would be a competent guardian of the nation’s security. He appears to believe that a readiness in the west to negotiate is all that is needed: in practice, and regrettably, terrorists negotiate only when they are exhausted by conflict and calculate that they have no more to gain from violent methods. I see no sign whatsoever of such exhaustion among Islamist extremists, in any of their battles around the world.

Furthermore, the Labour leader’s linkage of western foreign policy to terrorist acts is psychologically convenient but unsupported by the stated priorities of the jihadis themselves. In July 2016 Islamic State was unequivocal: “The fact is, even if you were to stop bombing us, imprisoning us, torturing us, vilifying us, and usurping our lands, we would continue to hate you because our primary reason for hating you will not cease to exist until you embrace Islam.”
Food for thought.

I've noticed that in the last few days the conservative vote in the poll has stopped sliding and has actually risen a small amount (less than a percent in total). This seemed to start even before the latest attack. Labour are clearly massively ahead in our poll but it's interesting to see.

A few thoughts:

1. Pot-kettle situation isn't it?
2. The severity of the measures (all Qataris give two weeks to leave Saudi Arabia) looks like an actual war could break out.
3. Accusations that Qatar have been financing terrorism have been going on for years.
4. The leaked Hillary Clinton emails demonstrated that the Americans have known about Qatari funding of terrorist networks for years.
5. In March Theresa May was just begging Qatar for more money to prop up her bonkers Brexit plan!
6. Qatar already has over £30 billion worth of investments in Britain, including Harrods, the Shard, and significant chunks of Sainsburys, Barclays Bank, and our national grid.
7. 5. In 2011 Barclays Bank was fined £92 million by the Serious Fraud Office their dodgy dealings with an unnamed individual in Qatar.
8. Theresa May is planning to abolish the Serious Fraud Office if she wins the election!
9. Now we really need to know what's in that financing of terrorism report that Theresa May and the Tories are trying to keep hidden.

Teresa May has had direct responsibly for managing and dealing with this issue for 7 years. She had done nothing notable bar infringe on civil liberties (with many more to come) and cut funding rather than set out the business case and policy through austerity to maintain and enhance domestic policing and cultural integration.

Her latest soundbite is just that, a soundbite.

Yep. It's a very difficult choice for me. All the economic things I agree with are under the Tories, all the human rights and non-authoritarian polices I want are under Labour. It's a terrible bad bargain for me, either way.

Well now that's why the Tories need everyone and anyone to be able to do a warrantless search of your Internet history. Your MP can't very well send a summons to "Rroff", can they? ;)
