Where on earth are you getting this stuff from? And why has a thread on Polygamy turned into an Islam QnA thread about babies and dowry?

I am trying to suggest that male/female split is roughly 50:50
I have mentioned already that war greatly decreases the male (in particular) percentage.
If Muslims support Polygamy, yet 'some' Muslims have female babies aborted to avoid paying a dowry.
Is that not hypocritical to you? It reduces the percentage of female Muslims to less than 50% - how then can 'every' Muslim man choose 4 wives?
It's utter **** - think about it.
What Polygamy really means is the guys who are doing well can legally have 4 wives, have them stoned or killed if they disagree or have a major disagreement then marry some other younger model. - and take another dowry.

AFAIK, In Islam, the man pays the dowry to the woman so I don't understand how aborting female babies would avoid the payment of dowry.. surely it would prevent the receiving of the dowry once that female baby grows up and gets married? And anyway, abortion isn't even allowed unless there is a legitimate reason, and within very precise limits.
Polygamy isn't prescriptive in Islam dude, AFAIK before the Qur'an was revealed, there was no upper limit for polygyny and many men had scores of wives, some even hundreds. Islam put an upper limit of four wives. Islam gives a man permission to marry two, three or four women, only on the condition that he deals with them justly and equally though.
Furthermore, from what I have read, the Qur'an is apparently the only religious book on the face of the earth that says 'marry only one'. The context of this phrase is the following verse from the Qur'an: 'Marry woman of your choice in twos' threes' or fours' but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly, (with them), then only one' [Al-Qur'an 4:3]
I think you're confusing the Islamic religion with the Indian culture whereby the woman pays the dowry to the man...

There's nothing wrong with polygamy per se, but it's not for me. One wife is quite enough strife thank you.

But the husband...gives money (or something of value) to the wife...so...
You don't seem to be grasping certain things here.
At the end of the day, if a woman is happy to be married to a man who is already married, and all three are happy then why is it anyone else's business?
Try answering that without bring Islam into it.
