For reference my F430 cost less to run than a GTR, don't you think that's insane?
OK, let's compare. What did your annual servicing, consumables and mpg run to?

However, my point still stands, the running costs are extortionate, particularly over here. It costs almost twice what my 911 costs to run a year and doesn't offer anything more performance wise than a 911 Turbo which I can buy for the same money (albeit two years old now).
It may (debatable) cost twice the price to service, but you are comparing a C4S to a GT-R. Whilst I don't expect a huge leap in servicing costs to the Turbo, there must be something there that brings it closer to GT-R costs. Like I've said, Housey's breakdown of running a tracked GT3 would indicate we are not a million miles apart in cost. OPC prices like £450 for plugs and £150 for a brake fluid change on a Turbo are just as ridiculous as what Nissan try on for OEM discs.

There is no justification for the 6k mile/6 month service intervals, it shows NO confidence in their product and the 18k gearbox flush is a joke. Porsche PDK boxes don't need maintenance until 120k miles yet they put the same or even more power down than the GTR.
So short service intervals indicate no confidence in the product? I don't remember F430 intervals being particulary impressive. I'm willing to bet that quite a bit of exotic metal have 6k intervals. Or less. I know the Zonda does...so can we apply the same principle?
PDK boxes, wonderful things. Porsche have done it better.

This is knowledge I've gained based on wanting to buy one myself and that of my friends who own several of them, it's not hearsay and I do not just repeat the useless information that people spout on the internet.
Have a look on Nagtroc. Read the maintenance section and add up the last eight prices people (owners) were charged for the 18k service at a Nissan dealership.
You said, at best, the 18k service will be $3000.
Actual average = $1371.75
Edit:
I would have thought that most motoring enthusiasts would see past that and relate the car to
Thanks for that. Awesome.
