Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

On a side note, my GTS had its first birthday yesterday. I can't believe how quick the time has gone in it.

I'll do a one year review at the weekend.

That made me laugh. :D

Aslong as I can get a GT3 that will make me happy, especially now they have fixed the oiling problems on that engine.

Yep if I get into a GT3 I would be happy and chances are it will happen.

Wow it really does not feel like it.

Gen 2 GT3 coming, manual

interesting 180 by porsche

Preuninger also revealed that the 911 R’s new six-speed manual gearbox is likely to be offered in the second generation of the 991 GT3. “I can certainly imagine this gearbox in the GT3,” he said. “There is some overlap, with the 911 R for purists and the GT3 RS for track day fans, and then the GT3 in the middle. Right now it’s just with PDK, but I can certainly imagine gen-2 GT3 getting this manual transmission.”

Far from it, it's why they are selling for 30k over now, but we, the people, want manuals in our GT3's.

I've been offered one for 10/15K over list, in the full spec I am after. So I am going to give it somethough over the next few days. :o:D

Has the dealer got build slots yet?

No, I just asked about that. They have no info on the gen2 models yet.

Have sales of the current GT3 not been good enough?

The Gen2 GT3 will be offered both in a manual and PDK, it will also feature the new engine with improved oiling.

Just had a phone call from the garage that is working on my 944. Shocks all replaced, water leak found and replacement rear window seal ordered and the oil service has been done.

Also as a nice surprise there is a possibility of it being featured in 911 & Prosche World magazine which isn't something I was expecting. Nothing confirmed yet however.

I simply won't pay overs for a car, point of principal. It's not worth overs, same with the GT4 and any of them to be fair. There will come a point this year where people will take a bath, I will not be one of them.

I normally agree with that logic, but this one just caught my eye with the spec of it. However, do you think they will drop this year?

Its a bit of a shame that they have made some really good cars but people just don't get to own them but on the other side its nice that they hold value well if you where lucky enough to get one at list.

I would probably never buy a new GT3 but because I know I can run it for a year or even 2 and get my money back I have no problem buying one.

Nice, post some photos up when you get it back.

If your getting it for only 10k over list I really can't see you making much of a loss but I am no expert.

I'm looking to book a few track days this year namely Brands (As thats 20 minutes or so down the road), Bedford and Silverstone this year.:D

How strict are they are on noise limits? Also can you buy silencer should I be over that limit?:o

Where is also recomend to get a lid from as well?

Bedford has a very low noise limit. Silverstone are strict but you won't get thrown off for first infringement, just have to lift for the rest of the day.
