Buying a 911 is still one of the best and daunting things I've ever done!
So far it's cost me a little bit but as itsa Cat C I don't have to use Porsche for a stamp. I can research, buy and fit the bits myself. Complete service with nanotach oil about £300? Need to replace coils because theres 3 different makes and it annoys me. But the car seems to run better the more I use it. It used to have trouble starting when hot but fingers crossed that's resolved itself through use. Been meaning to take it to classic shows but it keeps raining!
Major or Minor service? I think the minor is now only £265 for mine, and I get a brand new Porsche for the day. Not as expensive as you'd think on the classics. I generally fix anything that does go wrong and will buy the equivalent part from ecp etc.
I don't know really - Porsche quoted about £277for an oil change only.
Plugs, air filter, pollen filter, oil filter, nanotech oil (oil cost £120!), Pagid front pads, disks, ally grease (educated the mechanics on that instead of copper grease lol). They did it all for £100. Think the disc and pads were about £130?

Can't wait to take delivery

Don't know how they came up with that quote. Fixed price minor service is only £295 and includes the following.
Lucky Man! I was looking at the options last night and noticed you can have night vision.
Which model did you go with? As I understand there are two performance hybrids coming to market as well.
Deposit is down on the hybrid but they don't know when it's due. I was expecting October delivery but that may not happen now.
It depends if the dealer is part of the service scheme from Porsche, as some aren’t.
If its an older model its quite cheaper, they serviced my 996 turbo for 300 quid and i got a new boxster (non turbo) for 4 days.

Didn't know that, luckily the one at the top of my road does, as do the two other nearest in Bournemouth and Guildford. If they didn't I would definitely be looking at other options.

On the Panamera front, as Dr House says, the old turbo used to do it, but this one just looks much much bigger. Should consider the Diesel! That v8 sounds pretty immense (better than the hairdrier in the hybrid) and it would actually have some relatively ok fuel consumption compared to the hybrid.
Don't be daft, the hybrid is a plugin.
I can highly recomend Bournemouth, as ive had excellent service from them. I refuse to use my local one now due to such poor service.
