Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

Kingy. I will respond to your post when home.

Ice. This worked out really well, in the end for 2k more I got PSE, sports chrono, adaptive sports seats and a black interior with read seat belts.

Also it's 1.5 years newer and has 1 year Porsche warranty with 4 new tyres.

Would you swap your wheels over? The Sport Design wheels are far from unpleasant, but I prefer yours personally...

How long have you had yours now?

I can't see from the dash pic whether the sports exhaust is actually PSE? I thought PSE had the odd shaped tips? or was that just a Gen 1 thing?

Right, So I have had my one for 10 months, my last 911 I had for a year.

Its got a genuine Porsche PSE.

Old car
March 2009, 36k miles
Black on Grey
Heated, electric seats
Bose, Bluetooth, Universal USB/ Ipod
Alcantara roof lining
PDC
heated steering wheel.

New car
October 2010, 35k miles,
Black on Black, red seat belts
Heated, electric seats adaptive sports seats
Bose, Bluetooth, Universal USB/ Ipod
PSE
Sports chrono plus
Alcantara roof lining
PDC
+ a few other toys.
Its just been serviced

I will swap the alloys over as I like my old ones more. I also want a multifunction steering wheel so I will change the one it has now.

Nice! How've you managed that for £2k?

I got the guy down to a very fair price and I got a good offer on my car.

It may work out to £3k if my car goes for a lower price but still anything under £5k I have done well.

I was going to get a Maz GT or a R8 until I can afford a 997.2 Turbo or a 991S but I think I will keep this until I can get a good 991 for under £55k.

New one on the right, old one on the left, the only one is for sale at £41k if anyone is interested.

I just Love the new one, the sports seats are amazing and I quite like the read seat belts. As much as I like the steering wheel I am going to chang it to a MF steering wheel without the paddles as I will use the MF more then the paddles

What wheels on new one m8 as I love the Carrera Sport wheels which were on your old one as they are also wider too.

So this cost to change was only 2k? Bargain!

I am going to swap the alloys over, the only thing that I was worried about is that the tyres on the new car are all brand new so I wanted to swap them also but the rears on my old alloys are 305.30.19 and the new ones are 295.30.19.

The new car cost me £41.5k inc VAT and 1 years warranty.

I have had a offer on my old car for £39k from a dealer. I put it up at £41k so was thinking I would hold out for closer to £40k. What do you think? should I just let the dealer have it?

Very nice. :)

Why isn't it on a 61 plate?

Sorry it was a typo, it was delivered in Oct 2010.

id give it to the dealer, if he is offering you that much for it I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity!

May just do that.

Gibbo, what do you think of putting 295/30/19 on the Carrera Sport 11.5" rims?

They'll fit fine!
Loose the stance a little, and less rear grip but will help dial out understeer. Will be fine and you probably won't notice it. :)

At 39k give it to the dealer, you might get 40k but you'll have to deal with tyre kickers, not worth the hassle for 1k.

Very true. I will drop him a email tomorrow.
