Beggars belief that Bottas hasn't rolled the dice and fitted hards several laps ago, Lewis has been sailing off into the sunset in this medium vs medium battle for some time.

Mercedes won't roll the dice in a wild hope to get Bottas across the line first if it risks the 1-2 and cost them WCC points. They probably know the best strategy is to go long on the mediums, just Hamilton is making it work better because he's faster and has better tyre management. Putting Bottas onto hards now isn't going to change that, and probably just risks Bottas getting caught behind other cars and losing time.
