That doesn't really answer the question. That's just what they think are optimal strategies. People were on mediums for 40+ laps. Verstappen will have done nearly 45 when he finishes.

Or you could look at it the other way, of being completely fair. both cars have same machinery and same rubber, up to them to do what they can with what they have.
