Possible coup in Zimbabwe

Calm down and have a think for a second. The good stuff which you ask me to demonstrate is hardly going to be reported by the western news outlets that have an agenda against the poor bloke (learn 2 logic plz guys!). I've always viewed Robert M as being a bit like Prince Philip. Occasionally he puts his foot it in but he means we'll. I think in 50 years he will be viewed much more favourably even by the western press. Look how people reflect on George W Bush who people have started to warm to a bit in reflection compared to how much vitriol was flying round towards the end of his presidency.

If this really is how your brain works, then I feel sorry for you. I really do.

Wow, just wow! The only people that softened up on Bush are idiots and some of the US press who portray him as a bumbling idiot (which he is) but most people on this planet still remember him for starting two pointless wars, stripping citizens of the right to privacy and ruining the economy.

Just suggested western media had an agenda against Robert and he has probably done some good work in places over the years that goes ignored.
Pretty much every dictator does something good even if it's sometimes by accident. It doesn't mean Mugabe isn't an evil, terrible, mad monster.

I.E artificial limb technology is decades ahead of where it would be due to Hitler funneling trillions into it to ensure after he won the war that none of the master race ended up second class citizens (which was pretty comical as at the same time he was also expending silly amounts of money/resources to gas/incinerate disabled Slavs lol).

Nah you really need to do some research - plenty of independent sources for pretty nasty things he has done that Prince Philip might dream of doing who knows but hasn't even come remotely close to doing.

EDIT: Actually some irony here in that you probably think he is less bad than he was due to the UK obfuscating or discrediting evidence to protect its own interests :s

Just suggested western media had an agenda against Robert and he has probably done some good work in places over the years that goes ignored.

He sanctioned murder and theft, using government money to fund the gangs that illegally seized farms from their rightful owners.

He singlehandedly destroyed Zimbabwe's economy, pushed the unemployment rate to 50%, persecuted gays, facilitated the abduction, harassment, abuse, and unlawful killing of his political opponents, rigged elections, crushed democracy, and starved his people.

The number of blacks who benefited from Mugabe's rule is predictably small, and due in large part to cronyism.

What I was meaning about Mugabe hanging on in there, despite a real danger of someone bumping him off, aged 93 or 94 (reports seem to vary), but either way he is an old man), is it takes some bottle, given our Defence Secretary Michael Fallon, resigned on the basis of touching a woman's knee or whatever heinous crime he felt demanded this. It would be easy for Mugabe to gather his ill gotten gains outside the country, if he has not already been doing that for years, and disappearing a wealthy man. It was not congratulatory of his dreadful regime against his own and other citizens!

Getting rid of Ian Smith and his potential followers on was a huge mistake for the UK, that in the long term relegated Rhodesia to its current fate.

wow, i don't know what world you're living in but it certainly isn't this one.

Just found this link. Obviously positive news stories are few and far between in the western media but the odd one slips through the net. Just to reiterate I never said the guy is a saint or I agree with everything he has done. Just take in to account the western media, keep an open mind, and give it 50 years and it's quite possible he will be remembered a bit different.

Right. So here we have a story from a single farmer who got a farm after the previous owners were presumably killed for it.

Meanwhile, the country is literally asking the white farmers to come back because these people haven't got a clue how to farm. This, for the record, is a Zimbabwean news outlet, so straight from the horse's mouth.

And where are these farmers? Well, 12 were murdered by Mugabe's men. 12 that we know of, or that the Zimbabwean press couldn't hide. Everyone knows it's multiple times that. And Mugabe's response? "Anyone who killed a white farmer is immune to prosecution".

That said, I stand by my original point, you've demonstrated numerous times that you're not educated enough to discuss this matter so I'll leave it at this. I can only handle a set amount of stupid in a week and you've exhausted my quote by lunch time on Monday.

Well obviously there's that, but other than sanctioning murder and theft, using government money to fund gangs that illegally seized farms, destroying Zimbabwe's economy, pushing the unemployment rate to 50%, persecuting gays, facilitating the abduction, harassment, abuse, and unlawful killing for political opponents, rigging elections, crushing democracy and starving his own people what has Mugabe done that's really that bad? (with thanks to Monty Python)
