AMD Radeon R9 390X in Games benchmarks

AMD Radeon R9 390X in Games benchmarks
About the Chinese forum Chiphell benchmarks of the upcoming AMD Radeon R9 390X have surfaced again. Be the aforementioned model, code-named "Captain Jack" should there be an R9 380X with the chip "Fiji XT" on the other hand.

About the Chinese forum Chiphell benchmarks of the upcoming AMD Radeon R9 390X have surfaced again. Be the aforementioned model, code-named "Captain Jack" should there be an R9 380X with the chip "Fiji XT" on the other hand. After all, these graphic card is in a benchmark parkour from around 20 games at 2560 x 1440 pixels faster than NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980. At the same time to the next AMD's flagship but its the 390X GPU based on the "Bermuda XT". Those arises in the 20-nanometer process.

According to the benchmarks, the AMD Radeon R9 390X would be around 65% faster than a R9 290X. It is a mixture of water and air cooling are used. The benchmarks also show that the upcoming 390X would be slightly faster than even unofficial Nvidia graphics card with the fully activated GM200. Of course, the benchmarks are still regarded with caution. Because AMD is still silent about the alleged Radeon R9 390X.

Those farcical chiphell benchmarks really have got everywhere haven't they :D

I think we should have a sticky in this forum with links to all the bogus leaks and rumours that have failed to materialise so we can keep score on websites like chiphell.

If we did the above I think most people would finally stop posting these garbage links.:D

Chiphell have been on the money plenty times. You can get excited, just not too excited.

Yes true, but when one guy posts up benchmarks, not just one but 20 games with two unreleased cards and then benchmarks of 5 games with four unreleased cards nearly a week ago, and there hasn't been a single leak from any other sources.
I'm calling it hogwash, unless he was the only one to get hold of any of the sample cards, there would be other leaks of some form for at lest one of the cards if not a few of them.

All I know is that the translation of the thread doesn't help at all, for example one of the posters.

Explosion urine stickers must Dingding!

Yes my thoughts exactly. :D:p:D

It's always a waiting game with any card release! and leaks I'd take with a pinch of salt any how. hopefully 390x will kill the competition and wont be stupidly priced to help AMD take back some of the market!.

That's funny, was that google or bing .etc?

Well, doesn't tell us a lot but interesting all the same. I do kinda like these teasers.

The only thing I would say is, this is from sapphire not AMD, so does that mean this is not a new card per-say but a remade old card. What I mean is it seems strange to see teasers from a AIB for a new product rather than from AMD themselves.

Who knows, but we will find out in January. :)

Yes the 390X will have no trouble killing the competition (the 980 is not that good).

Yes the 390x will be reasonably priced if you call between £440.00 and £499.99 reasonable.

The only question is how will AMD choose to go about it and the possibilities are huge.:)

Sapphire are AMD's primary AIB partner. i don't know if that means much.

Its strange all the same, what does it take for the 290X to match the GTX 980, a 20% overclock. (1200Mhz) thats not doable for a factory overclock and investment on for an AIB partner on refreshing the 290X at this late stage?

Just ride out the storm until new stuff arrives, throwing money at old stuff that is no longer competitive and going to become obsolete likely within a few months seems daft to me.

Its either that ^^^ or something new.
