I really hope it isn't the 2900 all over again :(

I wouldn't say so as the 2900 was all new tech, and the 390X is a updated GCN apart from the memory so they should know what they doing and they have released tonga which must be close spec wise going from tonga GCN1.2 to 390X GCN1.3.

Newest Iris Pro 6200 in Broadwell, faster than the R7 250 and using less power.

Intel are always working on it. You're so negative when it comes to their IGP, Intel went for the performance, now they're working on efficiency while improving performance. The broadwell part is 65W, that's the CPU and IGP.

22nm v 28nm and 384 Shaders, thats nothing special.

If AMD put HBM on the A10-7850K it will be trading blows with a GDDR5 HD7770, twice the performance of a 250

You've pulled trading blows with the 7850 out of your behind.
Given how many shaders it has, it's more akin to a 7770.

I expect AMD to take over the IGP crown with their new stuff when it launches without bandwidth issues. But you just come across as a complete hater, which is no shocker.

So you just want someone to argue with, again.

There is nothing hateful about being unimpressed by a GPU like the R7 250, its a pile of crap Martini.

Attempting to steer the thread back on topic,

Tweak Town have confirmed that Radeon Fury X and Radeon Fury are the names for the flagship cards. (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=28117994&postcount=5252)

Also that the Radeon Fury X will be an AIO watercooled card only with no variants being allowed, but the Radeon Fury will have aftermarket coolers.

So,

Radeon Fury X aimed at Nvidia Titan X
Radeon Fury aimed at Nvidia 980 Ti.
390X 8GB aimed at GTX 980 4GB.
etc..

Not long now but i still feel like its too long.

My TXs stand ready for battle.:D

My first job though will be to ditch the awful AIO coolers on the Fiji cards.

If the dual GPU version gets called Radeon Fury MAXX it would be so many levels of awesome.

On a side note the Rage Fury MAXX was the final Rage card before Radeon, perhaps the arrival of Fury may mean a Radeon successor is in the works?

Humbug does that nearly all of the time, as long as he believes it then it's fact so don't waste your time arguing with him.

I still can't wait for Fury X to launch to point out how laughable his math for calculating its tessellation performance was, not that he'll accept that he was wrong.

Ahh you see I now remember why I rarely post in here... To be fair it used to be full of know it all idiots who will argue about just about anything. It appears little has changed.

Either way you look at it the performance of an IGP is irreverent when talking about discreet GPU's.... Just checking we are talking about discreet gpu's arn't we?

Wonders off back to motors...
