So, it's not for another few weeks for this card?
God Damn, AMD are just letting Nvidia getting as many sales as possible aren't they lol? Just paper launch the damn thing with some official benchmarks (Not 3rd party)

They ain't at computex with these GPU's, AMD put a ban of partners showing the 390X/Fury as AMD have their own event for that in a couple of weeks.

The Leaked pictures show it to have 8+6 pin power connectors.

Andreas Schilling < is this guy for real? if so then its not going to sell for much more than £400

I agree, no way to prove this is legit. Hopefully it's just fud http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=28117677&postcount=5216

It doesn't need to beat the 980 Ti or Titan X.
But if it doesn't, the pricing can't be silly.
Although I don't personally think AMD can price high even if they do reach performance parity, for their support/image this year has been dire.

Certainly won't be the death of AMD.

But AMD are viewed as the value option (Which is probably why every time they've priced pretty high, well, it's not done that well), I don't see why people are getting their panties in a mess over it.

Agreed, with good pricing even if it's not as fast as the 980 Ti / Titan X it could still be a good cheaper option.

I think the reason people are anxious, is because AMD haven't launched anything in ages and they have a record low market share. Most people just wanted AMD to do well, and a Titan X killer would have served as a great flagship for AMD.

A high power using card (700W recommended) PSU according to that article, needing 2 x 8 pins and water cooling but still not as fast as Nvidia's cards is obviously going to make people a lil worried, which is totally reasonable. Hopefully this article is just spin.

Well I can see quite a lot of 980ti's being returned if the newest thread in this section regarding nVidia gimping the 980ti to 5.5gb + 0.5gb slower VRAM is true.

Well, they say at the bottom.. "Everything about the Radeon Fury X continues to be based on hearsay. Especially any information relating to performance has to treated with caution. AMD certainly will still be able to improve numerous details. Neither BIOS or drivers are likely to have been finalised."

If so....... just lol @ NVidia. This practice needs to be stopped before they do it to every cut down card without warning.

Until we see real benches i just say this is rubbish. It says slower than a 980 Ti which is about 35-40% faster than a 290X...fiji has 45% more shaders, and other goodies...it would be really strange if it could not be 35% faster.

Edit: i'm also curious about the missing bios, and AMD is working on the clock speed and drivers.
3 weeks from start the cards should be in the boxes already and slowly getting shipped out.

AMD is a joke of a company.

1. They said at GDC they would be at Computex.
http://www.tweaktown.com/news/43945/amd-unveil-next-gen-radeon-r9-390x-computex-june/index.html

2. 980TI comes out right at Computex and AMD is no where to be found. They suddenly dont have the card at Computex

3. Now its their own event in even more weeks.

These guys are done. Id rather see Intel get into the Card market right now and let AMD die off like they should have years ago

Testing the 980ti vram setup should have been something most reviewers had high up their list so assumed no news was good news. Looks to still be good news then.

Floppers posts are entertaining? They're barely even coherent at the best of times. Some people may find mmj's posts entertaining, doesn't make it right. Also if you'd read floppers posts you would easily see he despises nVidia as well. It's just laughable when people get defensive when it's happening against their brand but when it's going the other way they completely ignore it.

It seems the 3 strike rule only gets used if a thread gets massively derailed, the odd baiting/trolling posts just get completely glossed over.

There is a difference between comical on the one hand and being outright rude. If anyone wants to report them for it they are free to. But tbh it's the confident veneer of reason and plausibility that may fool the unwary which is what I dislike.

It's just a GPU release....

Please point it out where is the part AMD saying they will release the new cards at Computex?

I don't see any evidence in there where AMD officially announced what they'd be doing.

As per usual, most of the stuff is made up by clickbait websites, then spread around forums.

EDIT - Beaten to it by the poster above :p
