Just because it has 4 visible modules doesn't mean it's 4GB.

No need for the big words which can be perceived as shouting aggressively.
Let's not forget AMD spouting that compression and Direct|X magic would solve the issue they had with their initial 4870 512mb version. Three months later, after all remaining naysayers finally realized 512mb wasn't enough, 4870 1GB was released.
I find it extraordinarily coincidental that magic compression technology is being touted again when Fiji will be limited (at least initially) to 4GB. We'll see...

Dying Light also went pretty close to 4GB usage too iirc.
That game ran like **** for me regardless of what settings I used and what FPS I got, stutter galore

People often confuse what usage they see with how much is required before performance suffers. Having said that, given the market segment they are probably aiming at I'd still think 4GB would be too low even for single card setups, due to how people view it & marketing impact. For multi-GPU I have no difficulty believing that 8GB would be a big advantage.

I'd imagine theres probably a few of them and they're clips to take the shroud off, 6990 and 6970 had the same thing.
