Hopefully shortly after release we will get a price war and get a few quid knocked off the higher level cards then everyone can be happy :)

Hopefully, hopefully AMD do have something...

I'm not allergic to Nvidia, in the last 5 years AMD have always suited me best for what i got for my Money, i know others feel its the other way round and thats right in their opinion, we all have one and act on it.

My last choice was 780 or 290, the 290 was cheaper and by my reckoning that bit stronger.

If that changes i'm going green.

AMD are always going to be price/performance winners for the foreseeable future imo, nVidia have no reason to price at their level unless they start losing discrete market share rapidly.

Same. Chose ASUS 290 OC over 780. It was a no-brainer.

Yeah just saw it, the guy also let the slip that you need a 850W SFX PSU gold, not sure if its valid because can't find it again but that would mean the Fiji is a monster.

Well thats bull as Fiji has a similar power envelope to the 290x or just slightly less prob better just call it same but its been stated to be the same 300 watts seen as its no more than 375watts this card can consume plus system power how is that more than 700 watts? Your telling me the system is going to pull more than 225 - 250 watts without the gpu? They reccomended 700 watts psu with the 290x and Matt managed to run two slightly undervolted 290x and his overclocked cpu with 750 watt psu. Utter nonsense that corsair stuff

Imo it has to be <£500 if it's a Ti competitor and rocking only 4GB of Ram....

I think it'll all depend on what they've done with the 4GB. If it can match or beat a 980 ti at 4k in GTA5 and stuff then they'll have some more freedom to match 980ti prices.

If they can't and the quantity of the ram really is a problem rather than the bandwidth available then they'll have to price it lower.

EDIt: and I'm sure someone at AMD said it's under 300w.

Yeah good luck then. Don't quote theoretical specs in here I'm tired and don't have the energy lol. Many people have gone over the PCIE spec, and by that I mean almost everyone. And how are you getting 100w? Jesus even at idle with offset voltages my x99 rig takes 175w.

Besides take it up with George Makris. It's not like he doesn't know what he's talking about.

System in my sig uses 40W at idle and maxes out at around 320W.

Can I guess from the casual internet denial from that, that some of you may be underrated for Fiji then lol.

Some of you never cease to amaze. Don't shoot the messenger.

Yeah? Mine doesn't. Most power user systems don't.

Let slip?

Someone at Corsair let slip that a competing brand was not enough to do the job.

If i was Corsair i would sack him if he said that competing brand would do the job.

SFX, not XFX, numb nuts :p
