LOL. I know the power draws, I'm not asking AMDliebers to come to terms with it. Even as far as rumours go, to dismiss it completely on no grounds what so ever is dumb. It has a Typhoon fan and an AIO cooler. Of course it's going to pack some energy.

Common sense should overrule occasionally. It's not like you need a graph in order to choose the best tooth brush or to be able to tell your right from your left foot.

Power consumption has never been a worry for me, I've got a 1250w PSU in my rig that powers my 7970.. I thought overkill was a good idea at the time :o

I'd rather have a hungry card, than a dodgy memory gimped one that uses less power :p

I think AMD told an even bigger whopper recently lol

I wonder how many people bought their cards because they were told that by now we would have loads of Mantle based games.

Mantle is a bit like Elvis

Dead and left the building.:D

Or how many people bought FreeSync monitors to go with their xfire setups on the promise that xfire Freesync drivers were only a few weeks away.... (see sig for reason for my bitterness)

lol - the consumption isn't the issue for me and I'm sure I'm not alone. It's the thermal energy that is produced, namely in MGPU configurations granted.

The only thing that isn't clear to me is what the figure relates to in terms of clockspeed and voltage.

If we're talking about above 300w being quite easily reached at stock settings per GPU, that's a huge backward step for both GM204 and GM200 owners alike. It does make quite a bit of difference as I'm sure Kaap and other MGPU users will agree.

Which is why this card really does need to really give the TX a run for it's money.

If the Fury is around the same price as the 980Ti and around the same performance (though it will have 2GB less VRAM), I don't think ill be able to go with AMD. I know both brands have issues, but in my experiance in recent years Nvidia have offered better support. I need to see some good reasons to go with Fury, fingers crossed we get some.

I know just by suggesting that Nvidia have offered better support it could upset people, but I did state that it was my own experiance. Though I believe it's a common concern.

I still find it really funny, that the card isn't released yet, tho some people already seeking for the weak spots to bash on it.

Evidently it's quite easy to upset people here

If they can get it faster than a 980Ti, they can really price at ~500 (Not that I'd think that would sell that well lol)
No it would still have be price at £450 or less.

It's really not that difficult to imagine, as we already have an existing example of the launch of 290x vs the GTX780 that already existing on the market.

The importance of what it does/costs will differ from consumer to consumer as we all have different needs.

In my case if it is 10% or more faster than 980ti plus cheaper I will buy it.

Foe me it would have to be a good 10% faster than the 980ti and have room to OC as well as being cheaper.

Nvidia's software and support is currently way ahead of AMD, they need to bring something special to prize people away from the green team.

Price equal to or lower than the Ti, assuming performance is equal or slightly better and its a buy day 1.

If the price is much higher than the Ti and the performance justifies that price then it will still be a buy day 1.

If on the other hand performance isn't there and the price is bad, then it will be a Ti instead.

Why is it a day one buy if it's on par with the ti? from where I'm sitting Nvidia offer the better drivers, software and game support with big titles running Nvidia gameworks.

You would have to be a big AMD fan to drop the ti for a similar performing fury with less memory if they are priced similarly.
