Well the things we do know for certain:

It will be faster then the 290x.

It will be a new chip, therefore it will be more than one card. (harvested core)

It will have HBM.

I cannot think of anything else that has been absolutely confirmed by AMD themselves.
 
I wonder if they've decided to put in all the new shinies or simply warm over GCN a bit. A completely new core on 28nm may be seen as waste. On the other hand they know it has to last probably a year. But the decision would have been made long ago, remember that tapeout leak? When was that, 6 months ago?
 
was the whole new linup rumour ever confirmed?
or backed up a little atleast?

i dont think AMD need huge performance gains but a new lineup with hdmi2 and dx12 stickers would help some

you can bet your last dollar that they're still working on it, but the core would have been chosen last summer, so it'll deffo be one of two results, you choose :-

1...........similar to TX
2...........A lot more powerful :eek:

number 2 means i'll sell TX :D

the only think you know for sure, is one of these will be Water Cooled and there will also be 8GB RAM, the new stuff ;)
 
i think i'll return it to stock and sell it either straight away or when the 390X comes out......... i may as well do it this afternoon and see if i can get used to it making a noise again.

i always game with the case side off and right now it looks like an Electrical generator in there, i dont think Arctic could've made an uglier looking heatsink if they tried, it's ok underneath, it's the Backplate that looks pants.
