A few friends have asked the same of me. The consoles are pathetic. If only we'd get games that were designed for the PC
they say the same to me as well, and i only game via a 55'' tv, they're as jealous as hell, especially when they see a telescopic sight zoomed up to 30'' in diameter, and the AI in front of you is as big as a real person

Absoloutely, I feel we are shunned for the mass market of consolers. I don't know if it is piracy or just limited PC sales but it does kinda leave a bad taste in the mouth knowing we have so much power at our finger tips yet very little to show it off.
I know we have PC exclusives but I want a PC exclusive that blows consoles out of the water, end of.
we only feel we want it because we spend far too much time on this forum, if you left the forum you wouldn't feel like this at all... no pressure to buy whatsoever.

Well they aren't going to host the forum for free without trying to get you to buy things 
It's clever and some of it works (the reviews and info rather than the sales pitches ) - fair play.

) - fair play.yea well, that was supposed to be the 1st Crysis wasn't it, but they screwed up the game by adding naff aliens at the end..
maybe DOOM 4 or FAR CRY 3 will change this, unfortunately we dont get enough really good shooters to justify this huge expense, really good pc shooter games are very rare nowadays

Original Crysis was 2007... I think Greg is talking about now.
There's a good few games out there which are coded properly for the PC but there's always room for more.
The problem is that the consoles are now priced at a point where everyone and their mother can have one (I have a 360 and a PS3 as well).
Because there's such a large market there to seduce; invariably this is where the money is made and as such the development emphasis.
It's a shame.

yes totally spot on, you make a game to sell the most you can and this has to be at a low price and for console use only....
i run my own market stall, and people only buy stuff that's cheap, they'll buy loads of it yes; but it has to be cheap, but in contrast it's very hard to sell expensive stuff... we talk about this all the time, the hardest thing is to attract rich customers, they're out there, but they dont go to markets !

It'll become harder to justifiy the dev costs for pc exclusive, graphically intensive games. The money is in casual, cheapo flash games now. See zynga. Unless you're EA and chuck your entire marketing weight behind it, but they've been losing money for years.

But what they can do is design the game for PC then port it to console. It is currently the other way around which it shouldn't be
This TBH. When we get a game, 95% of the time it is gpu intensive, just because they have ported it from console in possibly a lazy fashion. Not all the time though, Alan Wake looks good on PC (not my type of game though) but GTA 4 was just a shambles.
When you think they design and create the game on PC, it should be us getting the best and first
