I'm a member of one forum where there are no post counts at all, just the username. Don't know why but that does look a little weird. I suppose it's only really needed here for MM access.

It's amazing how upset people will get at such an inconsequential thing as whether posts in a particular section will add to your post count or not. You can almost understand it for people who were planning to argue spam their way back into MM but why anybody else cares is beyond me.

Imagine the chaos if post counts were hidden entirely.

IMHO your username should be your post count. People would have to really focus to keep track then.

I suspect my post count is going to go up about 20 a year from now on if I am lucky, let me just go off and cry for 19 days quickly...
