Here is a bit of a retro one for you guys. Just finished rebuilding my friends FZR600 Genesis. The thing was a mess, it wouldnt start, brakes seized, exhaust rusted to pieces, bits hanging off and paint peeling everywhere. A full stainless system and a lot of TLC later.

Goes suprising well now, still has a peach of an engine for a 600. Comfy as hell too.

That is a fantastic looking bike, well done :)

FZR looks amazing, almost a classic :) ...awesome job on the restoration

Those little 2 pot calipers look scary though and they weigh a crazy 179kg!!!!!!, thats heavier than litre bike today

Thanks for the positive comments, I really chuffed with how well the thing turned out. so is he, although now he is selling thing as he just dont use it, damn tempted to pick it up a play thing for myself. Oh and i think it must be close to classic status now. Its just turned 20 years old!

Your right about the brakes, they arnt the sharpest. even after me splitting them, replacing all the seals, fitting braded hoses and sintered pads, the thing still struggles to hall it down from speed.

The first time I took it for a blast I had a big shock when I squoze the lever, was used to R1 barakes with hoses and sintered pads, a slight difference to say the least

I got to ride something a bit different today, I've never even ridden a two stroke before.

It only weighs 115kg when fully fueled and the kick when you get into the powerband is :D

The ZX6R is mine:

That 2nd photo taken outside GS?

theres the best lesson for all bikers no matter how long your experience, read that post over and over and think just how little control you have for what some other plank will do on the road, sobering thought indeed.

Keep it safe fellers :)

and for the sake of a repost heres my 750

You know what. And I may sound like a pleb when i say this, but.....

I am in love with that bike. It's like the feeling I got when i first saw an RS6, I wanted it and knew I would one day.

Jeesus christ, its gorgeous and right now I wish I had learnt to ride a bike. Cookie, if you come down to the Medway Towns on it, be sure to let me know.

if the weather is good then who knows one weekend I could make the trip.

to be honest I saw it, fell in love with it (sounds cheesy), then learnt to ride so I could buy it.

thinking about changing to the VRSCA light and also blacking out a few parts and putting some different pipes on it.

also doing something about those bloomin reflectors on the front forks.

he he they make a nice trike :D
dont need a bike licence to ride one either
top one is Didier Drogba's
and the bottom one is owned by Sean Wright Phillips

I agree although I've never seen the point of a trike, more like a quad than a bike,

all the disadvantages of a 4 wheel vehicle width and all the disadvantages of a motorbike.

looks quite funky though

if you rode one you'd say different , they feel just like a bike until you hit a corner and even then they corner much faster than any quad you could find
quads feel totaly different
trikes do have their place for people like me who cant do two wheels anymore :(
after riding for 32 years i find i cant give up that buzz only a big bike can give
a quad or car cant get even close so it had to be a trike for me :D

o and thats the only harley i would look at nice
