Run of the mill cars were so bad back then, Rovers were considered good :p

To be fair there was once an era when Rover were genuinely quality premium motor cars. Long time ago that though haha...

The irony is the 75, their last car, was actually a pretty competent car.

Ranger met it's grandad today
I love the old car styling almost always, cant or wont be done nowadays for various reasons

1989 ford escort 1.6 no injection was listed 0-60 in 9 seconds. The Rover SD1 v8 was good maybe, a couple lesser models occasionally got there, at one point Rover and Honda both owned 20% of each others company and Hondas came from rover factory in uk

A predominately English definition of a large truck that’s met with bafflement by many from beyond those shores, it stems from The definition of “a large low horse drawn wagon.”

Everywhere else they are trucks which is why I’m known as a trucker not a lorryist. :p

Unless you misheard them and they were calling you something completely different and un-automotive.

LP5000S Anniversary if I'm not mistaken.
I had the opportunity to buy one of these about 20 years ago when they could be bought for buttons (well, £50k but compared to today's money; buttons). I couldn't quite fit one in my garage and so would have had to build a new one which the Mrs of the time vetoed. Still gutted about it now. The one that got away.
