Hold on there bucko... You cant just come in here and post this without some description of what you are doing for us nosey buggers :)

Haha, It's been a work in progress and the plan has changed as we've been working onthe garden between working on clients pond builds. This is the most recent drawn plan with the design and shape of the top patio changing slightly.

Before we see the year out I'm hoping to have the pond up and running and my koi in their new home, pool structre built, wall cladding finished, coping stones down, turf down, a good amount of plants in and maybe even the patio started but I think that bit might be me being a bit too optimistic!

These are great, need to plant a few for pollination though. Very tasty

The lad next door (about 30) is into his garden/lawn. Not much more than a square of lawn with pants around it, but much better than all of the others around me. Most paid to have their lawns laid, but that's it.

What the garden looked like a couple of years after moving in (2106 ish).

Picture hides the severe slope down the bottom. Usual challenges of a new build estate. Shared path behind. Our garden was 2 ft higher than the path at the bottom.
Our fence help up by a rotting smaller fence on the path. Became concerned that if it failed, it could hurt someone. I had already added extra posts.

Garden this morning.

I only got them in to do the fence originally. It then escalated. :D
Took the opportunity to level the lawn with Concrete posts and gravel boards. Used 6ft long Angle Iron hammered in to support new fence posts. Recycled the old fence boards
Coming along nicely. We realised that where we originally planted stuff got the sun all day. Sunken patio seemed like a good idea. The sleepers are very very heavy and a ******* to cut. :D
For a new build, we got lucky with the garden size, but its why we chose the plot.

UPDATE

Nearing the end.

Friday spent levelling the soil, after needing a late delivery due to 4 ton of topsoil not being enough. Landscaper not happy. :D

Turf Laying Saturday.

Wait for an improvement in the weather, and get the paintbrushes out, and get some furniture ordered.
Can`t make my mind up whether I need to add some sort of barrier to the sides of the sunken patio. To stop accidentally falling.
