Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

Nice, how much room do you have for the projector? Does not look like its a huge gap, but no idea if I have enough room in my living room to set one up!

Looks like it's an optoma projector which doesn't need a massive throw distance compared with other projectors. Best place to check out throw/image size is projector central they've got a calculator which is really useful.

There is only about 3 meters between the projector and the screen. This allows for a screen size of 84 inches. I have seen some Epson projectors that would have allowed me to have a 92 inch image. If you look on projectorpoint, all the projectors they have, show a calculator that allows you to figure out what size image you can display.

Nice setup, but do you watch it sitting atop a step ladder?

For Phill4321, what QAcoustic setup did you used to have? The new Quad setup does look nice too, and with 2 Microservers  :D

I had 2020's as the front, 2010's at the back and the 2000c for the centre. Great speakers, but these are definitely a step above. Also I bought the Quad speakers for £280 second hand which made them a bargain. I manged to sell all of my Q Acoustic speakers for around £350.

One thing I did like about the Q Acoustic speakers was how well they suited the room and they were very attractive looking. But in terms of sound quality, these Quads are better.

Here is a pic of the my old Q Acoustic's

I'm keeping my eyes half open for a set of Q Acoustics for sale, they are bigger in your pic than they look online, the size of them seems perfect to me. Good to hear you rate them highly, but of cours if something else second hand comes around then going to be tempted away from them.

Yeah they are quite large and the manufacturer photos don't really show this well. But they are great speakers and sound very impressive. The build quality and the appearance are stunning. In their price bracket they are great and I am sure you wont be disappointed. The only reason I bought these Quads is because the price was so good for the set.

Thanks Kinetic. Ive had them about 4 years now and as much as id love to change them, i finally got myself away from home cinema as iut was very expensive to keep up to date. My last purchase was after summer of last year with the new Marantz receiver so everything is more than up to date for a while. Trying to focus my attention now on computers. If i know as much about computers as i do home cinema i'll be doing ok.

Currently doing my Cisco CCENT, So i thought it would be a good idea to sign up to a computers forum to stay up to date with today's tech.
